I had my regular OB appointment yesterday. In answer to my questions about my blood sugar, I was told (kid you not) "Eat more snacks." LOL Whatever, I guess everything is fine. It's weird (IMO) to go from having post meal blood sugars of like 105-115 to 80 all of the sudden without me changing anything, but the baby seems to be fine, and I am fine, so I guess it's fine.
I lost a lb from last time, so I'm up a grand total of 2 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight, which also seems weird to me, but the doc assured me that they only get all worked up about women not gaining weight if the baby isn't growing properly, which is clearly not the case with Rocket. So I guess I'll just enjoy the fact that I'm not going to probably have to diet to get back into my pre-pregnancy jeans, unless I suddenly gain 20 lbs in the next month or something.
BP was good, Rocket's HR was good (mid-140's) and the best news of all is that my fundus is only measuring 1 week ahead now! It was up to 3 weeks ahead at one point, so I guess maybe all of that rapid growth has slowed down, perhaps as a result of my continual low(er) blood sugar over the past little bit.
Other than that, we talked again about the possibility of inducing if Rocket is getting huge, and then he went through my chart and looked at the history from when I was pregnant with T. That was actually really reassuring because it turns out that this baby is pretty much on the exact same track that T was on. 4 weeks before he was born (so around 33 weeks) we did a growth u/s and found out that he was 5.8 lbs, which puts him and this baby pretty much neck and neck for growth (this baby was 5.2 at 32 weeks) They've always said that if he went to term he probably would have been about 8.5 lbs, so I'm hoping that the same is true of this baby - if he goes to term he'll be around 8.5 which is still totally pushable, and who knows, maybe he'll go a little early (but not too early) like his big brother.
So, that's about it. One more appointment in two weeks, and then I'm on weekly appointments. Eeeeep!
