So what's everyone doing this weekend? I am working from home today after Henry's vaccinations. Tomorrow we are going to visit my dad and his girlfriend to celebrate his girlfriend's birthday and then Sunday is my FIL's birthday. So lots of family this weekend. It's so hot here in Texas, it was like 104 yesterday and will be over 100 degrees for the next 6 days.
A pregnant friend of mine texted me last night that she was having lots of contractions and was going to call the doula soon (we have the same doula) and so I think she might be having a baby soon. She is due today, so that would be fun if her baby was born on his due date. I have been stalking her on facebook since 6am this morning. No news. I hate to call/text and be annoying, but I'm excited. Her son will be in the same infant room as Henry when he starts daycare!
Yay hopefully we can chat! My last board was so chatty it's weird how quiet this one is
This weekend we are thinking of heading the beach one day. I also want to start some shopping for back to school daycare stuff and get things organized for our beach vacation which we leave next Saturday. I need to get my butt going on my capstone which is my final thing for my CAGS. It will be easy once I get going but just motivating stinks!!!
So I am super addicted to working out right now especially spin classes. I got a groupon thing for a spin gym and started last week and went 3 times last week and 4 this week. I love it! I joined a gym for after vacation that is close near and it has great classes. It has spin, tax, Tabata etc. it was $449 for the whole year and with my health reimbursement it brings it to only $300!!! It literally is 0.5 miles from me so I can go and be home so good!!!
Haha not much else going on. AF started today so I am kind of blah in general
Aimee wow, I am impressed with your workout enthusiasm. I used to do yoga and zumba and occasionally a turbo-kick class. But I have had zero desire to do so lately. I also feel like I don't have the time. But it sounds like you and your DH are extremely organized individuals that help each other out a lot. My DH, well he is helpful, but he doesn't feel like he can soothe the baby or take care of him like I can, so I don't get too many breaks. I have only left the baby with him on 3 occasions, all less than 2 hours and he usually calls me within 30 minutes.
Boo for AF. I despise her.
My friend did have her baby. At 4am. Ha, I told her to not call the doula because she said her contractions were 20 minutes apart. But then 5 hours later she had a baby, I sure hope she called the doula. It was her second baby, so I guess its true they come a lot faster.
I left my pump up at work and went to pick it up this morning and got an evil eye from everyone in there. They all have to work over the weekend. I feel sort of guilty that I'm not going in, but at the same time, there will always be a deadline and I can't always come in now. Feeling better about my outlook on work. The stuff we do isn't life or death, but my boss acts like it is. Most of the overtime we pull is because he changes his mind in the last minute the day before something is due. And I'm not going to put up with his procrastination/grand idea change anymore.
I have always been super athletic so the last 5 years of ivf and pregnancy and ivf again and pregnancy again have taken a huge toll on me mentally and physically. It works out nice that it is so close and there are times I can do 5-530 am and be home before we normally even wake up so that's good. I need to get DH back on the working out but it's so hard when we are tired and want to spend the time with the girls.
Work gets a whole new outlook when you have a family. I used to bring a lot home and do work but now I don't anymore because that's my time. A stack of tests will get corrected the next day and like you said no one will die for it.
Off to do dinner and then mini golfing. DD has been begging to go
Oh fun mini golf. I can't wait until Henry is big enough to do things like that. It's way too hot to do anything outside here right now. I dread just walking to the car. I think the first big outing with Henry will be the state fair in October. Can't wait, we are going to take a day off to go. And then at the arboretum there is a pumpkin patch where everyone gets their babies photos taken. So cute! October is a fun month. It's cooler out and lots of activities, I'm already thinking of halloween costumes.
I really want to take him to a baseball game, but DH doesn't think it will work out with him being so young. We went to a game last September and came home all hot and sunburned. I would have to pay a lot more to ensure we didn't get seats in the sun. Sounds fun though, he has so many Rangers onesies, and of course Red Sox onesies too. I would be conflicted if we went to a Rangers/Red Sox game. My dad is always the one wearing the Red Sox t-shirt at the Ranger's game, and I'm always a little embarrassed, since we also route for the Rangers.
Elizabeth I love when they are bigger. Like I enjoy the baby time and stuff but I get bored easily doing nothing and with DD it was totally boring my first summer and it was really hot. This summer not as much because with DD we are on the go more.
I LOVE fall stuff. We go to a big fair here the beginning of October and apple picking with hayrides and stuff. I love making memories and starting traditions!
I would prob agree with DH on the baseball game. They are so hot and long lol. I love baseball but at games I end up people watching so much! RED SOX all the way
I agree it is fun when they get bigger! We have done so much stuff this summer since DD1 is old enough to enjoy it. Lots of trips to the zoo, and to the beach. DD2 isn't old enough to appreciate the trips as much, but DH will hold her while I play with DD1 and I think she enjoys watching the activities.
And you should not feel guilty for not going in to work Elizabeth. The work will always be there, but our little ones are only little once!
My SILs are supposed to visit this weekend-my one SIL hasn't met DD2 yet so that will be nice. And I am hoping to get some more work done on Isabelle's big girl room-I want to move her out of the nursery soon so Liliana can start using the crib for her naps and get used to sleeping in there.
Rebecca how was your visit with your sister?
S this morning I went to spin at 5:30 and I wanted to quit for the first time. Damn AF is so heavy and strong compared to past and my legs ache and get weak so it sucked. 15 min in I literally was ready to leave but I pushed through and finished the class! This week is super busy for me. I like it but makes time fly! DD has a lil sport camp each day from 10:45-12:15 and then today she has swim before it and thurs she has dance camp before it. Then my friend who moved to AZ is here visiting and coming over tues for dinner and to watch SYTYCD. Plus packing for a family of 4 is always a blast on top of it lol
Ok off to shower while Rylee is asleep!
I took spinning when I was at my last base and loved it! I haven't been excercising because I don't feel like I have time either. Hoping to get back into it when Emma goes down to bed easier. As of now, it pretty much eats up my evenings.
I had guard duty this weekend, and I'm back at my regular job today. Feeling tired. I've been pretty on edge lately too because I may be losing my job at the end of Oct, but my immediate boss is trying to save me. Basically, I'm in limbo and I hate it. DH is in his last sememster of his accounting degree and it's not a great time.
