I know a lot of people wear babies. But one, I'd feel weird doing it and two it looks complicated as heck. Oh, and three, I *know* people and they're gonna wanna touch the baby and if I'm wearing baby - they'll have to touch me too and that's NOT HAPPENING. I've had enough of people touching my belly already LOL

HAHAHAHA... you know, I don't even want people touching my baby. I actually found people didn't touch the baby as much as I'd thought. I never really get why random people think they should touch your baby. If I don't know you well enough to let you hold the baby for an extended amount of time, then DON'T TOUCH.

True story - when T was a tiiiiiiiiiny baby (like, less than a month old) and I was a very nervous new mom, I took him for a quick jaunt out to the grocery store. While we were waiting in line to check out, an older woman came up and started admiring him and saying how beautiful he was, which I was fine with. THEN she stuck. her. FINGER. in his mouth. Jammed her pinkie right in there. I about came unglued. Who does that????? I yanked his carrier back really quick, and I was just like "Um, I don't really let people put stuff in his mouth..." But that was a really mild reaction to what I was really thinking which was "What. THE EFF?!?"

Wow Alissa, that is nuts, who does that?!?!? If someone had done that with Isabelle, I would have freaked and I can only imagine how DH would have reacted as he is a bit on the germophobic side.

Eeww! I think it's the older ladies you have to watch out for! They're the ones that make comments that are just a little off color and do strange things. I think they just forget what it's like to have a baby of their own!
I find that definitely wearing my baby means no strangers will touch. I find it much easier to wear than take the huge car seat into the store and then there really isn't much chance people will touch the baby, really it never happened to me.

Dude, I LOVED babywearing because no one tried to touch my baby! I am looking forward to doing it again this time - it seemed so much easier than toting a bucket carrier to me. I had a few slings and a Baby K'Tan. I want an Ergo this time.
