    Default Back or Kidney Pain

I'm here at primacare bc I'm having waves of intense pain in my lower left back. I called my midwife but they were about to close. She said it sounded like kidney stones or kidney infection. The pain is pretty intense about every 10 minutes or so.

I'm hoping its nothing baby related. I did have this SUPER painful round ligmaent pain this morning when I sneezed. I sneezed and then I screamed right after, freaked evryone in my office out. And now this.

This back pain though is just sticking around. It hurts to move, it hurts to touch my back.

    Anyone have anything like this?

I'm so sorry that you are going through this. I find that I get backaches a lot easier (like even just sitting on the floor folding laundry) but nothing like what you're describing. Please keep us posted!

Doc said it was a urinary tract infection, but with the pain I'm having he would have expected my urine to look worse. I don't have any burning while peeing though. I'm not happy about the diagnosis. I thought for sure it was a kidney infection. He gave me antibiotics. I'm scared to take them, bc I don't even know if I need them.

Oh no! That sucks to get a diagnosis but not trust it. Are you going to get a second opinion?

Just wanted to say I hope you feel better. Also, I've had a UTI when it didn't burn or anything, I felt like I had to pee a lot but since you're pregnant, you're gonna feel that anyway. If you don't wanna take the meds, you can eat yogurt and drink cranberry juice and see if that helps. I will say, my back didn't hurt with my UTI either.

My daugter has had serious UTI's 2 years in a row and let me tell you she has been pretty symptomless except for extremely high fevers and pain on her stomach so it is possible. Hope you get relief soon!
