Back to work...

So this week has been crazy. Fri I was in to drop a check off after school hours and this admin drops on me I need a doc note to return. I thought I was ok because my note said I could return 6-8 weeks and I was over 8. So my direct boss said come in and have one faxed tues morning since it is a holiday weekend. So I go in and am told I cant stay until I have the note and technically they can hold it for 48 hrs. My note was there at 8:50 so my boss emailed me and said I was clear for return today. So now I used an extra sick day and was annoyed because my boss talked to the admin and she said I couldn't come in so he called my sub in on Friday but never called me so my SIL drove 30 min to be here at 6:30.

So today I went back and it was a super light teaching day for me which would seem good but the boredom of having no classes from 10:45-1:20 made it hard to stay awake. My students were super happy to see me which was nice. I always get annoyed by this time of year with some people and situations and it was there today. Some people I work with are almost like teenage mean girls and with not being there for 8 weeks my return makes it so easy to see. Just happy there are only 18 days left. I am really torn though because there is a department head opening and I am most qulified for position but nepotism makes that not always matter in our building so I am worried I would not end up getting it and be super upset about that. Any suggestions on what to do would be great.

Ok exhausted and getting ready for bed lol

I can't believe they made it so difficult for you to come back! Are you still going to apply for the job? Can't hurt, right?

I am torn what to do. It is only a stipend and could be more of a hassle but at the same time I am gettign my CAGS in administration so it would be a good step and going through the interview and stuff. I just hate to go through it knowing I SHOULD get it but may not get it.

I would go for it. Rejection stinks, but you just might get it and I'm sure you deserve it. I do hate interviews though.

Well yay for only 18 more days. How long is summer break there? Any plans?

We have just about two months off this year. We had 4 snow days so we would be getting out the 18th but nope!!!

In July we have Rylee's baptism and we are going away for a long weekend to a resort that has indoor and outdoor pools, playground, golf and is near a boardwalk with arcades and stuff. Then in August we rent a beach house with my MIL, FIL and SIL for a week that consists of beach beach and more beach! We have a lake in our town that we go to a lot in the morning before nap and my babysitters family has a pool that we have an open invite to. I try to be busy busy busy in the mornings and afternoon after nap much more low key!

We will do a lot of day trips to zoo, sprinkler parks, an amusement park and stuff like that with friends. It will be interesting how it will all work with having Rylee but people say the second just tags along and is usually so easy going beacuse of this.

Well hopefully everything works out with whatever decision you decide to make on the job. Good luck!
