With this being my 4th pregnancy you would think id know what a contraction feels like.. But I have never had one and have no clue what they feel like or how they should feel. I woke up this morning and my uterus cramped up into a ball.. I could feel it, it was rock hard.. Its been somewhat hard all day.. I keep getting these weird waves of tightening across the top of my stomach.. My whole stomach just feels tender and sore. And just within the last 30 minutes have been having a little back pain with it.. I think im going to call the hospital and see what they think..
If it was happening because of O, I'd say no biggie.. give yourself some time.. but you didn't mention that so I'd say definitely call the Dr and see what they say. ESPECIALLY with it curling around to your back.
Yes, those do sound like contractions. I'm not sure if they could be Braxton Hicks. I know that those can start around now, but I don't think I ever had them with T and I haven't had them yet with this one, so I can't tell you what they're like. Please KUP!

They said to drink plenty of fluids and try to rest and see if it stops, if it gets worse than I have to go in.. After DH got home I told him what was happening and he reminded me that I had been out playing on the trampoline yesterday with the kids... I didnt think it would hurt anything because I didnt really jump, my feet stayed on the net. The tightening has stopped, but my stomach is sooooo sore!!! If its still hurting in the morning ill be going to my drs office. Guess I shouldnt be playing on the trampoline anymore! =/
I had a friend who had contractions off and on for a long time during her second trimester, the Doctor told her she wasnt drinking enough water and told her to get some gatoraid and water and drink as much as she could hold throughout the day. Sure enough they eventually stopped. Take it easy and drink all that you think you can hold. Hope you feel better soon girly! Sorry you're having to go through this!
Lastnight we ended up going to the ER because the pain never went away.. I did have a couple small contractions but the dr basically chalked it up to BH, nothing that at this point would harm baby or do anything. As for the pain ive been having.. They said it is most likely a mix of normal growing pains coupled with the jarring around from the trampoline. The did a US and baby looked good.
