Cramping...

So for 2 mornings now I've woken up to cramping. But it's a cramping that even bothers me as I walk... Sad I'm not sure if its RL pain or actual cramping. I've checked HB and baby is there and HB is just fine. It last a little while then starts to diminish. I wonder if I'm sleeping wrong or if it's this horrible constipation I'm going through. Sad I'm managing to go everyday but it's not all the way. Sorry TMI.... but it's like I'm a cat and I don't feel satisfied at all like I need to do more. AND I'll be in the bathroom like 20 min just for that little bit.

Oh No! I hope you find relief from your constipation soon. and that takes care of the cramps. No fun and scary too!

I actually came her to post the same question. Ive had lots of cramping lately. But Im the opposite, I go like 2x a day and its a lot. Im kind of worried about the frequency and amount Ive been going, since Im not gaining weight still. And Ive always read that during pregnancy your digestive system slows down. Mines doing double time.

Well I hope yours is just constipation. That would for sure cause cramping. Maybe you have some blockage. Try prune juice, usually helps me.

Is it normal to feel sore in the abdomen too? I guess things are just stretching down there because sometimes I feel like I did a bunch of situps/crunches.

Mari and Elizabeth - I bet it's the digestive stuff for both of you. When I went in to the doctor because of cramping last week, he asked me if I had been having constipation or diarrhea (I think it can go either way because your whole system is just thrown off) and he told me that the nerves in that area are all connected so having digestive issues causes pain in those nerves too. Fun stuff! I hope you both feel better soon.

I hope so! I will leave a message with the OB tomorrow morning since I have to drop off my 24 hour urine and see what she says. Elizabeth I def. have the soreness too.

Was going to post the same thing - it could be because of constipation or diarrhea!

I have constipation as well, I go but ... it's a LONG time on the toilet and I then some usually gets "stuck" and I have to walk around for a minute and then go back. But anyway, if I hadn't gone in awhile, it's definitely crampy.

I know that the preferred method is the natural method of lots of fluids and lots of high fiber foods but if you get desperate my dr okayed me to take miralax as needed. I SWEAR by it. I have always had issues in that department and Miralax is the only thing that helps. Plus its not like a laxative so its better on your body and doesnt make you crampy like regular laxatives are. It is considered a class C drug while pregnant but after doing lots of research it doesnt look like anyone who has ever used it (including many doctors themselves) during pregnancy had any issues or negative outcomes. Just a thought if you do get to that point. Also, I get cramps all the time, some I think are just from me stretching and growing on the inside as the baby does and some are obviously constipation cramps too. Hope you feel better soon!!! Keep us posted!

Yes earlier in my pregnancy I was so constipated that my midwife recommended Collace. You could try that as well.

I'm going to see what she says next week. Still pretty bad and still have cramping and bloating! Sad I now have the beginnings of hemorrhoids! :(With DD I got really bad, I was so hoping it wouldn't happen this time.

That stinks, probably pain from constipation though. Hope you find some relief. I'm more like Elizabeth and I feel like I'm in the bathroom all the time.
