I like... never exerciseabout 3 months ago, I starting to get serious about weight loss (i need to lose like 80 pounds! eeek!) I was on weight watchers. And then i got the BFP! I planned on starting working out once I lost about 30 pounds. I was almost there too! So i wonder if I start exercising now... do you think it would be bad and like... put my body in shock and hurt the baby? lol! i know that is probably a silly question. I am a complete ignoramus when it comes to "healthy" stuff

I don't think that you should go crazy and start lifting free weights and start a jogging regimen,(lol) but I think that exercise is still good for you in pregnancy. My OB recommends walking and stretching, which I swear I am going to get to any old time now.I actually do try to walk about a half hour a day on my breaks at work but I haven't been doing that this week because we've been so busy. Eventually I want to try to kick it up to about an hour a day. Maybe we could make a pact to walk every day?

that would be great Alissa!! lets do it! lets do the half hour a day for now and I bet we can move it up to an hour soon. I live right next to a nice bike/walking trail so I have no excuse. I just wish it wasnt so HOT. blahhh... but only 1 more month of summer thank God! then walking will be much more pleasant.I am going to start tomorrow!

Good luck ladies, with the walking and the healthy eating. I walk around all day at work, but ..I am definitely overweight. I've gotta be at work at 4am and I don't get much sleep overnight, so .. I'm tired a lot, but I NEED to try to just take even a small walk, maybe at sundown when it's not so hot.
Eating healthy has actually been easier lately - I've been eating celery like it's going out of style. I went to someones birthday party this afternoon and they had a veggie tray and I actually squealed when I saw it! haha! They didn't have any celery though, so I pouted...
Since I found out I was pregnant, I've tried to include a salad at every meal. DH, who loves meat and potatoes, has a smaller and smaller salad each night..but hey, atleast he's eating some of it..
