Hello there! I'm jumping in!

Hello, I am Amber and I am due with my first in late April or early May 2013!

DH and I started trying this summer and got our BFP quite quickly! We're excited and a bit nervous! I go for my first appointment on September 18th and hopefully can get a better idea of the EDD!

So far I've had almost no symptoms, just sore boobs and needing so much sleep!

Thanks! I can't wait for my scan and stuff, right now I have a cold and I am miserable! It's hard to be sick without medicine!

I'm hanging out on the May board too because they may put me later at my scan, I know I ovulated late but I don't know when!

congrats & welcome! My due dates ALWAYS seem to be at the end of the month. Many people in that situation will participate and post on both boards as you never know when the lil one will decide to make an appearance... early or late. I am due the 29th but always induced 7 days past my due date so that should make this a May baby too. However... I am staying positive that being my 4th I MAY go on time or early. LOL

Congrats and welcome to April! I hope you get over your cold quickly,I know being sick while preggo is the worst. You can't take anything useful and its super exhausting to be sick on top of pregnancy exhaustion. I hope you have a HH9M!

Welcome! Glad you're at least not having nausea, it's the pits!

Yeah being sick is the pits! I don't remember the last time I was sick and didn't take anything, so I haven't experienced a "real" un-medicated cold in a long time, if ever. It is awful.

Have you tried using a neti pot to clear out your nose? They are safe with pregnancy (it's just saline solution) and I've found they work pretty well when a stuffed up head is driving you crazy. The only thing is, I find the whole process a little uncomfortable, and a lot gross, but it's still a relief when a head cold is driving you crazy.

Congrats!! I think a few of us here are having our first baby - so exciting!

You brought up a good point - I can't remember the last time I was sick and didn't use any medicine. Actually, it was probably never... I hate feeling bad and (this is gonna sound like I'm a druggie) I take lots of meds to help.

I got a sheet from my ob that said ...umm... There's a cold medicine that's safe to take during pregnancy. I wanna say it's Sudafed but talk to your doc first before you take it. I could be wrong about which one.

Well the seat my OB gave me said NO cold medicines during the fist trimester. There was a huge list of things that are safe in second and third trimesters, including sudafed, and triaminic, and a few others. I figured you have to be especially careful during the first trimester because the organs are developing and stuff.
