    Default Henry's 1 month appointment

Henry had his one month appointment this morning. He is still a little dude, he weighs 8lbs 8 oz. She was happy enough with his weight gain though since he was so tiny when he was born. He was 6 lbs 7oz at birth.

We discussed he reflux again, she heard him cry this time for real. She said it was the cry of a baby in pain. She prescribed something new and wants to know if its working within 4 days. She doesn't think its pyloric stenosis anymore, I guess because of his weight gain.

Hopefully the new stuff works and we have a happier baby soon.

Aw, poor Henry! I really hope the new meds work for him. Yay for a good weight gain and not needing surgery though! That's great news anyway. Ugh for reflux though. I am soooooo over reflux by now. Hoping Henry and Reid outgrow it sooner rather than later.

What was prescribed? I'm using Zantac (which took about a week and a half for me to really notice any kind of difference except stinky-er spit up), Gripe Water and gas drops. I think everything together is FINALLY starting to help her. *knock on wood* she hasn't had one of her screaming her head off fits in a couple days.

    I hope I didn't just jinx myself.

She still wants him to take zantac, which he has been on for a week now. And in addition, he is taking prevacid. I'm also giving him gas drops and gripe water. Bit I have the cheapie version of gripe water...I hear the good stuff has to be black, so I ordered some colic calm.

Hope it all starts to help soon.

I must have the cheap version of gripe water too.. I bought it at WalMart.

I hope everything really starts to help Henry soon. Like I said, Julie has been on the Zantac for almost 2 weeks and I'm just now noticing some difference. I know how it feels to have a kid screaming like someone is cutting off their toe, I definitely feel for you.
