High fluid and bi baby...

So at my last two apps my doc said my belly measurement was 3 weeks ahead (there is no ques on my due date since it was ivf). He wanted to rule out GD and after my 3 hr test that was done but this week I had an ultrasound and was supposed to see my doc after. He was called to an emergency so I had to reschedule with him. They did the u/s and baby is on the normal range but at the very high end and I have high fluid. The nurse said not to worry he will just want weekly u/s. of course I left worried and I googled it to see what could cause it (the nurse said it was just that baby was big). So the search results have me freaked and my doc was closed on fri so I couldn't get answers. I talked to a friend that had it and she said it was fine and they never worried about the stuff I read. I have another u/s on thurs and I see the doc after that. I can call tomorrow but wondering if anyone else has had any issues like this?

Have you actually gotten the results of your 3 hour GD test yet? Big baby + high fluid is very common with GD. My baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead and my fluid is on the high end of normal even though I've been keeping my GD in check.

Yes my doc called me and told me my 3 hr was completely normal.. No worries at all. My husband was a big baby and my daughter was 8 lb 7 a week early so the big baby doesn't worry me as much as the high fluid.

I have high fluid too (they think because of my GD) and my perinatalogist seems fairly unconcerned. He just said "We'll keep an eye on it." So hopefully it's not too big of a deal.

So,I talked to my doc tonight and he assured me that everything is ok. I am actually just over the line that makes me have high fluid. He said it is actually very common and even more in second pregnancies and not something they worry about with me at all. He actually didn't realize I was in this thurs for another ultrasound and thought I would see him in a couple weeks but then he realized that I was in because my appt was cancelled with him last thurs so he told me to keep it and we would talk about the next ones at that time. I feel a lot better after talking to him

I am measuring ahead as well, but fluid levels have been right on.

I am glad your doc called and explained it to you. He sounds like a great OB.
