I feel like i'm doing really well. With having a birth with an epidural and this birth without one, I really feel like this time i'm recovering much faster than I did with DS. Don't get me wrong, the aches, pains, and tenderness are still there, but all in all, I really can't complain. I was at my mom and dads this past Saturday and decided to be brave and step on their scale. I was really hoping for at least 10-12lbs gone and was very surprised when I saw that I lost 17lbs in 6 days. I ended up gaining 29 total, so I am pretty happy with that. DH and I went to the store today to pick up a few things and I was able to get into a regular pair of jeans as well.

Kylie is doing great. We had her first pedi appt on Friday and she had gained 2oz over her birth weight. He sent us for another blood check for her billy levels and got the results on Saturday that everything is good, so that's a relief. So far, she has been a very easy baby and I say that cautiously because I don't want to jinx us. LOL But, like last night, she was awake from between 8 and 8:30 and fell asleep around 11:30 and slept until 3:30 this morning. We changed her and fed her and she was back asleep by 3:45 and slept until 7:30. So I don't feel exhausted this time around.

On another good note, DH finally got a job!!!!!! It's a 6 month contract, but then the company has the option to hire him on full time after that. We are just waiting on a start date. He got the call that he got the job the day we were released from the hospital and was supposed to start this past Monday, but some background check paper hadn't come back signed yet. So he found out yesterday that all the paperwork is back and good to go and should be able to start this coming Monday, so we will see. I'm excited for him and for us, but am also not getting my hopes up until he actually starts because he's been out of work for so long(over two years) and we've been told before he had a job and then it fell through for some reason or another. But, keeping fingers crossed!

Yay for regular jeans! I am wearing some regular pants as well, I forgot what they were like! I'm about 5lbs from pre-preg (#3) this time. Woot! It took a lot longer for me to lose the weight w/ Noel - here's hoping I can get back to pre-preg before any babies weight!
Judah sleeps really well at night too - so well I have to wake him up and he really does not wake up. The other night I tried waking him up and he would NOT wake up so I put him back to bed and like 5 minutes later he was awake. I try to wake him after 4 hours but sometimes he sleeps 5 hours straight - one night he slept 7 hours!
Our problem is once he's awake he takes FORever to eat. And sometimes I think he just wants one side, lay him down and a few minutes later he is awake and still hungry. So even though he sleeps longer stretches, it takes an hour probably to feed him seomtimes.

Yay for a job! That must be a HUGE relief since you just had the baby.

I've lost 28 lbs since being pregnant. I actually ended up losing 4 lbs from pre preg weight through my pregnancy, so if you count that I'm 32 lbs down. I haven't been this skinny in YEARS .... ..except I'm not skinny, but..you know...lighter LOL.

Vicki, 15 minutes to change and feed and put back down your baby boy is a miracle ... Julie sleeps fairly well, usually between 4 and 5 hours over night, but when she's awake, she's up for a couple hours. She'll act like she's all tired and going back to sleep...and then some energy spike hits her or something.

Jill, congrats on ur DH getting a job!! I hope everything works out

Haha Jessica I was about to say "Yes, I agree with Rebecca, a wrap would help!" Now that I see you're going to do it, I REALLY hope you like it. I'll feel like a jerk for talking you into it if you end up hating it. I think it will be good for things like grocery shopping and going out to eat too, since you aren't planning on taking your carrier out of your car. I have worn mine twice now when I was shopping, and I liked it. People looked at me like I was a crazy person when I was putting it on in the parking lot because its just like a huge piece of cloth being wound around your body, but I don't care.

Im jealous of you ladies who are back in your reg pants. Mine still give me a muffin top, so I'm living in yoga pants these days.

I don't see how anyone could be in regular jeans. My uterus is still big. I look about 14 weeks pregnant about now. I'm livingin yoga pants too. AAlso, there'smy iincision to deal with.

I am in my regular jeans, but I don't have an incision and my normal tummy looks pregnant-I am apple shaped so I always buy pants that ride below my stomach as I hate having anything tight on my tummy and if I buy pants that fit at the waist, they would be huge on my butt. I was actually able to wear my regular work pants my entire pregnancy because they ride below my tummy-I just had to worry about the maternity shirts being long enough to cover everything towards the end.

Jill congrats on your DH getting the job, keeping fingers crossed that it works out this time!

Jessica, Regarding the wraps, I am pretty sure you can resell them online to recover at least a good portion of the money if you should end up not liking it-or even buy yourself a used one so you don't have to pay full price for a new one-no advice on the best place to do this but I know people do resell them. I actually didn't buy a wrap but used a piece of fabric that I had in my fabric stash- it was about 20 feet long. Not sure how well it compares to an actual wrap in terms of ease of use/comfortableness to wear, but since I only used it around the house, it served its purpose!

Good point. I got my wrap used for $25.

Oh I still have a muffin top but I am like Rebecca; I wear my pants lower so they fit because I carry high.

I too still have a bit of a stomach. But, I also wear pants that fit a little lower instead of over my stomach and also don't have an incision to deal with either which is probably why I can fit into them. But, I don't wear them around the house. I have a few pair of comfy pants that I am wearing around the house and only tried the jeans because we were going out to the store and wanted to look a little less like a bum. LOL
