I have an incision as well - but it sits below one of my fat rolls and my jeans sit above it LOL

Aimee, this is going to sound stupid, but..I've never done this before, so...

Your c-section, did the the doc put these...pieces of "tape" over the incision? I'm a little scared of pulling them off (they're kind of falling off anyway) because my hair has started to grow back and I'm thinking it'll hurt. I don't think I have stitches or staples but I can't see my incision so I have NO idea ... I was so out of it during and after the surgery I don't remember much about it.

Those are steri strips. I had those the first time and my doc removed them two weeks postpartum. I wouldn't touch them if Iwwere you. When's your first follow up?

Also, I'd like to add that this time, my incision looks so nasty. Last time, it healed fast and looked great. I feel like this doctor kind of mangled me. I think I'm going to be stuck with the c-section overlap of skin too. Booooo.

Yes I had the steri strips. My doc pulled my staples on discharge morning so 5 days after surgery and added the steri strips (this was same as last time). He told me to leave the strips until they fell off or I saw him. Mine were pretty much intact when I saw him (itchy as heck with my hair growing back) but he plucked them off at my appt which was supposed to be two weeks but was actually three.

Joan I had the skin overlap with my first and that is biggest reason I wanted this csection to fix it... So far I can't tell but it looks like the same spot has overlap again so kind of bummed about that but whatever right I don't show that area off to anyone but DH and he could care less lol

See, I don't know if I had staples or stitches. I can't imagine there was NOTHING there except those strips. I mean something has to hold it together. But I do know after the surgery that they looked at my incision and said it was healing nicely, but nothing was ever removed. I tried to take a picture of it a few minutes ago...LOL It looks okay but I can't tell if anything is there (like stitches or whatnot). My appt was supposed to be this past Thursday, but the car wouldn't start so I'm going next week.

You def had to have something. I know the staples supposedly heal better. Literally removing the staples was done the morning he put the strips on and with tweezers he just did them and it was painless. The steri strips also came right off and were painless. If you had stitches I would think they'd have to be removed also
