I have a doc appt today...

So, I have to leave in a few minutes for my doc appt today. She's going to check me one last time - I guess to make sure I still need to go in tomorrow night to the hospital for Cervidil. DH is all antsy to hear about this appt, usually he checks in on me but he's like..make sure you call me!

I think he's secretly hoping that they'll check me and I'll be almost ready to give birth...
Oh wait - that's my secret hope..LOL

Well... BP was a little high this time, but it wasn't mentioned so I guess it wasn't an issue. I lost a pound. Since I won't be going back.. total, for this pregnancy - I have lost 5 lbs since my pre pregnancy weight. It's nice to have lost weight, but my morning sickness is/was a ***** so.. I think I'd trade gaining weight for morning sickness for 36 weeks. ANYWAY, she came in and asked me if I wanted to get my membranes stripped IF she can get through my cervix. I was kind of on the fence because I hear it hurts, so...I said ask me again when you're in there...haha. But the whole point was moot because she couldn't get through my cervix. She said you're *almost* a one. (I was *almost* a one last week), but it IS a tiny bit softer.
So - tomorrow at 6pm I go into the hospital. I'm nervous, but...I'll be more nervous tomorrow. DH will work all day tomorrow then come home and get me, so at least he'll be with me the whole time. I made him promise LOL

I'm sorry you didn't have more progress on your own. It's frustrating isn't it? But...look on the bright side...tomorrow starts everything for you and you will be holding Julie in your arms very very soon!!!!!!

I keep forgetting to mention - my belly button popped out at 40w1d. I was SO MAD. I'm all like.. see??? If you would have been on time we wouldn't have had this problem! I'm really ...I dunno, sensitive? around my belly button for some reason and now that it's popped out, it's even worse. I don't want DH to touch my belly in case he comes into contact with it...it makes me have shivers ...and not the good kind! LOL

I have so much to do today. I gotta go to the store and get snacks for DH, mom and I for the hospital...I'm also going to grab some groceries for my mom because she's going to stay at the house while DH and I stay at the hospital and unless she feels like cooking up a meal for herself (probably not gonna happen) then there isn't a lot to eat here. I'm probably going to grab a book as well. I LOVE to read, but haven't done much of it lately. I also have to get some clothes washed for DH and I for the hospital. I've asked DH to put the stroller together for 4 weeks now, but it's still sitting in the box. I said something about it last night and he said we won't need it immediately. I was like...good dang thing! Anyway, I'm going to try to put the bassinet thing on the pack and play. When I mentioned THAT to DH he said that I never mentioned that to him. ..... I didn't mention it to him because I won't get super mad at it if it doesn't work like he would. I gotta shower and get everything packed.

Thanks for all your well wishes. I'll post when I can ... I don't go in until 6 tonight, so I'll be around today.

Jessica, so excited for you today! I know it's going to be a super busy day for sure. Can't wait to see pics of Julie!! Yahoo

What kind of books do you like to read? I can perhaps recommend a good one!

I love those pack n plays with bassinets.. I was really wanting to get one but haven't yet. Maybe your DH will go ahead and put it together soon.. like after the hospital lol

Nidia - thanks Smile

I like to read a variety of stuff, but all fiction. I like horror/mystery mostly. But I'm also a fan of Harry Potter and the Shopaholic series. Haha, no judging!!

No judging here at all Smile I have all the HP DVD's (Still haven't watched them and I haven't read the books.. YET). I'm co-owner of a book club, how nerdy is that? Hehehe. Hrrm.. "The Book Thief" is a really good book.. it's sad though.. may not something you need right now haha. "The Night Circus" is also awesome, it's more of a magical/mystery type book and love story as well. OHHHHHHHHHH.. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Trilogy is awesome and perfect if you'd like to read horror/mystery.. more on the mystery side and gory.

I've heard of the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo but have never read up on what it's actually about. I went to Wal-mart (which I'm going to post about because I went OFF in there) and grabbed a book by Heather Graham. I actually read a lot of her books, they're like...paranormal/mystery and when I get done, I'm always asking myself WHY I read her books LOL
