I'm out of clothes

I have two more weeks of work and all but like 2 of my maternity shirts cover my belly and one of those is almost too tight. I also think I have maybe 3 pairs of non-sweat/yoga pants. I'm sitting here at work wearing the one pair of jeans I can still wear and an oversized t-shirt. Before I was pregnant, I always wore dress pants and a nice shirt to work and only wore jeans on Fridays. I hate going to meetings in jeans, sneakers, and a huge t-shirt, but I'm out of options. I look like a bum!!!

Me too! I have 3 work outfits that I can wear, one is a little sketchy. I am working in the corporate building for the next week or so and I hope they don't think I am too frumpy! I am probably the only lady not in heals.

At least we have a good excuse. Smile

Same boat here!!! I have 8 work days after today and figure I will rewear the same things in that time haha... I refuse to buy anything new at this point!!! My students are so funny though I usually walk around on Monday and check vocab cards they have for homework and one of my students says how about you sit and call us to you and check the cards that way. I was like good plan today lol

Yep me too. My shirts are getting tight. I also have a lot of maternity sweaters that I've been wearing and its starting to get warm. I have like 4 short sleeved maternity shirts and I refuse to buy anymore at this point. They better get used to me wearing the same thing every week.

I only have two maternity shirts that I wear, but I'm in a uniform 5 days out of the week - and since I don't have a "huge" baby belly, the uniform still fits. So, the other two days I'm in PJ's and when we go out (which isn't very often) I'm in one of two shirts. I'm soooo glad I don't have a corporate job where I have to dress up.

I work in a warehouse type setting so anything other than jeans is gonna get some stares.. I wear yoga pants and gauchos as much as possible.. I've been known to wear a comfy maternity tank dress once in a blue moon, too. Wink

Sorry to all you guys who have to dress up! I'd go nuts!

Yep, I'm having the same "having trouble covering my belly" dilemma. Luckily I officially no longer have to dress up since I'm now off work, but I still don't want to go out in public with my stretch mark covered tummy hanging out the bottom of my shirts.

Haha, stretch mark covered belly. I don't have that problem.

Oh the stretch marks on the belly...ugh!
I've noticed that some of my maternity shirts are starting to get too short too...but being at the 4 week mark basically I also refuse to go buy anything new. I told DH if I get to the point where nothing fits i'm just going to wear his clothes and people can just deal with it..he told me to go for it. Smile

I'm in a damned if I do, damned if I don't situation.. I refuse to wear any pant that comes up over my belly (shudders!!) but the low-rise ones leave room for serious viewing issues if I'm standing by someone who's sitting. So I'm constantly pulling my under the belly pants up. lol..

I gave in and bought some stuff last week. DH helped me pick a couple shirts that I can wear after the baby is born and I found a couple more at the thrift store too - non maternity but just longer and stretchy. I also found one at Old Navy for $4.50!!
And all of my maternity pants are under the belly because my belly is way too out there for the other kind. So I have to find shirts that cover up the whole belly. I hate the draft lol!

LOL I was prepared to be sooooo jealous if you really didn't have stretch marks. My belly looks like a freaking roadmap or something.

Pulling up the belly of the pants is no longer an option for me, lol. My belly is waaaaay to big, even if I can get the material over it, it just falls down in 10 seconds. It's very drafty for me to, lol!! Oh, and I tried one of DH's shirts yesterday, same problem.

I don't even have maternity pants as I hate the over the belly feeling. All my regular pants ride below my belly as I am apple shaped. My maternity tops were covering things well for most of the pregnancy, but now I am also in the boat of my shirts not being long enough. I will either have to wear the same 2-3 shirts every day to work or else break out one of my two maternity dresses-I hate dresses for anything other than church, but I think it may come down to that or nothing to wear since I have to dress up somewhat for my job and can't get away with jeans, etc.

Ha! Am I the only one that loves the over the belly pants? I'm carrying way too low and I have one skirt and one pant that are low rise maternity kind and I hate those because it just gives me more pressure down there.

I have to say that Im going to miss maternity pants for work. 1) they are easy and I dont have to worry if I forgot to zip, 2) they keep me warm!

Elizabeth - I, too, have the over the belly type pants. I have since the beginning. They've stretched right along with my belly as it's gotten bigger. I can't say I'll "miss" them - I HATE not having pockets in the back (like jeans), but it IS nice to just pull them off and pull them on. I've gotten mixed reviews about where I'm carrying, but for *now* atleast, when I have on something even remotely tight or uncomfortable around my actual waist, they're coming off with a quickness. I can definitely deal better with the over the belly type. PLUS, since I have to wear black pants at work and the stretch fabric is black too.... twice I've gotten away with my shirt coming up for no good reason and no one noticing because it still looks like pants! LOL

Yes I like the black stretchy fabric!! But I hate the nude color stretchy fabric. I have that on a pair of maternity jeans. And since my shirts are getting tighter and not wanting to cover the lower part of my belly, it seems that the nude fabric is showing a lot these days Sad

Haha, I totally feel your pain!! I have jeans with the nude fabric as well and EVERYTIME I go to the doctor, when I go pee in a cup - I glance in the mirror and it's ALWAYS showing! Haha. I even wear DH's Tshirts to the doc appt because they're long...and still the fabric shows! I think the static or something makes my shirt go up.

Elizabeth - almost all of my pants are leftover from when I was preg with T, and they are all under the belly, or worse yet, mid belly. I must be carrying differently this time around, because I don't remember hating them last time, but I seriously hate them this time. I'm just too cheap to buy all new clothes. I did buy one pair of jeans this time and a skirt, and they both have the full belly panel. Soooooo much more comfortable. If I could, I would have all of my pants be over the belly this time around. Luckily, with both the jeans and the skirt, the belly panel is the same color as the rest of it, so it helps with the too short shirt problems I've been having.
