I'm a walking time bomb!

So I'm definitely now getting the "You look like you're about to pop... how long do you have left?... you sure you'll go that long?" Questions and I just want to punch everyone.
Last night I went in a linen store and the woman there (even after I said, no I'm pretty sure I have 5-6 weeks left, my babies are late) said "Well, if your water breaks, we've got you covered!" and then went on to talk to her coworkers about how she was certified in CPR, etc.
I'm sure that they mean well but geez, I'm not a walking time bomb! My water had to be broken with DS and I don't even know when it broke with DD but it was definitely into labor.
I remember with one of my kids, I was in the grocery store and someone said, "Just carry a jar of pickles around and then if your water breaks you can drop the jar and blame it on the pickles." Geez...
I am really huge though. Baby doesn't have anywhere to go but out and I am out. It's a little embarrassing if I actually think about it but most of the time I just don't lol.

I totally agree!!! I hear it every day and let it get to me too. Plus then had me worried... I may go early but nothing I can do. At my grandmothers wake all I heard was not making it 5 more weeks but here we are 3 weeks later lol

Aww I'm sure you look fantastic! I can see it getting annoying. I get the opposite. That I am too tiny and am I sure I am due in April. I'm pretty sure since I was charting and I have regular cycles. I don't say that though.

I would love to see your latest belly pic!!

I love how people, even total strangers, just feel free to comment on pregnant ladies' bodies. I'm getting a lot of comments these days too. In one day (Wednesday I think?) two people told me I "look ready to pop" and one of them grabbed my belly when she said it. Yesterday, a man walked into the breakroom where I was eating lunch and said "Wow, any day now, huh?" Then I was walking through the store last night, and a lady said "It's a girl, right?" and then acted genuinely shocked and a little put out when I said that he's a boy. Sorry to disappoint you, Random Lady in the Store. People are such weirdos.

haha. I swear, since I'm able to take off my hoodie every now and then with the warmer weather - I'm getting "OMG YOU CAN GO ANYTIME". Like, yeah for real lady/man, I can. But five minutes ago, when I had my hoodie on, you said I wasn't even showing.

And people at work are getting really annoying. I taped a piece of paper to my forehead yesterday that said -
Yes, I'm pregnant.
Yes, I'm excited.
It's a girl.
I'm due April 5th.

My boss was like...umm...?? LOL

Yes!! All of this. I was talking to my friend Saturday about how I'm getting so over telling people I have a few weeks left and I couldn't finish my sentence because some stranger interuppted us to ask me how much time I had left and to tell me I look like I'm ready to go now. I know people are just making conversation, but it's just the same thing 20 times a day over and over again.

I need to do my 35 week pic but I'm lazing around today in pjs so I don't want to take it until I'm dressed a little better lol!

Elizabeth, yeah I know it's like either you're "too big" or "too small." No one knows what they're talking about! Only WE know our bodies and our doctors/midwives know more than random people on the street.

On Saturday this girl pulled the "You having a girl?" line and I said "We don't know what we're having." She said, "Oh, you don't wanna say what you're having?" and then hubby came in and tried to explain to her that we had an u/s but we didn't find out the gender. A few second later she asked, "So you're getting everything unisex then?" Our two kids were right there and we were like "We have a boy and a girl so we have stuff for both." It was like she'd never heard of someone not finding out! It was so weird.
