Judah's Two Month Appointment

Judah had his two month appointment yesterday. I had him weighed a week ago and he weighed in at 9lbs 15oz which was a good gain. Well he only gained an ounce from last week weighing in at 10lbs exactly. However, he had just eaten the time before and this time he was hungry so it could be 4oz difference or so. Anyway, he was 23.5 inches long so in the 4th %tile on weight and the 70th for height!
Doctor wasn't concerned, said we are really far away from being concerned. I told him I was a little worried because he has stopped taking a lot of supplement after nursing, will wiggle and fuss like he doesn't like/want it. He said babies just go through phases and not to worry. So I'm trying not too lol!!
I did notice that I fed him a bottle first once and he took the whole ounce no problem so I'm wondering if he *is* getting enough from me but the whole just fed/hungry thing made a difference. Who knows. I just know that even though he was the biggest baby I birthed, he's the smallest baby now! The others were almost 11lbs by 2 months.
He got two vaccines - Rotavirus oral and DTaP and just cried briefly (that was his first shot!).
I'm still supplementing but it has gone down to 2-6 ounces a day with most days 2-4 ounces.

Well the doctor probably knows best so try to ease your mind.

I am surprised at 33 inches he is only in the 70th percentile. Rylee is only 24.75 inches and she is in the 99th so that is why it doesn't make sense to me.

If your pedi isn't concerned I'd try not to worry about it. I know that's easier said than done. Some babies just take their time growing. I have to say, he sure is a cutie!

You wouldn't be a mom if you didn't worry... when do you go back? Does the doctor want to see him sooner for a weight check?

He said if I wanted to come back in a month for a weight check I could... I can go anytime and it's really quick and easy so I'll probably go in two weeks... or sooner!

I bet Judah catches up on his weight soon, but I know its hard to not worry. But yay for a tall lil guy!

Well its good he didn't cry much with the shots. Man Henry cried so much when they took his blood. I just cried right along with them. Not looking forward to vaccines. Poor babies.

The blood work is the worst IMO, much worse than the shots.

I agree with Vicki.. blood draws are so so much worse and they get even worse as they get older and fight it so much. We had to have blood for my older one at her 3 year this May and it BROKE my heart
