Hey ladies! I have been lurking here and posting a little for a few weeks. My US last thursday confirmed my due date of 4/4 (originally thought EDD was 3/29) so here I am.
I have a 6yo little guy and we finally got preggers after 4 years of TTC. We have been announcing to our friends and family just this weekend. It has been fun!
AND just to make things interesting, I fell on thursday night and fractured my kneecap. I am scheduled for surgery in the morning. They are planning a spinal as to minimize the impact to the baby. Some thoughts and prayers would be appreciated!
Welcome to April and congrats on your pregnancy. Oooowwwww about fracturing your kneecap! How did that happen? Lots of positive vibes coming your way!!!
welcome to April!! That sucks about your knee! you poor thing. Lifting up you and your baby in prayer for sure sistah! Hang in there ♥
Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Surgery went smoothly. I had spinal anesthesia and was able to stay awake and listen to the whole thing. Very cool!
I had horrible nausea/vomitting later in the evening (gotta love being 12 weeks pregnant) and was unable to take my pain meds. The pain got really bad so we went to the ER. The nurses were so nice to me (it helps that I was their boss earlier this year!) and gave me lots of zofran and fluids and pain meds. We couldn't find the baby's heartbeat on the doppler so we had a quick U/S.
I will be in a straight brace for 6 weeks, so no driving for me!
Yay for a surprise u/s! It's so fun to see the bean, isn't it?
So glad that your surgery went well, and hope that you heal up soon.
Thank you everyone!
Jess, I was hysterically crying a few times since I fell. I am not one to cry or to lose it, I just blamed it on hormones. LOL. It was a convenient excuse
I have been doing much better today, I have been able to substititute tylenol for every other dose of pain meds. I HATE the brain fog that comes with the meds.
