Kylies one month appt and other stuff!

I haven't been around much, so this will be a lot.

We went today for Kylie's one month appt. She is 5 weeks today. She weighs 8lbs 12oz and 22in long! She was born at 6lbs 8oz and 18 1/2in! Dr is very happy with her progress. We have to schedule for her immunizations(have to take her somewhere else as this pedi doesn't participate in the immunizations for kids program) between now and her 2 month appt which is on June 24th. Otherwise all is good with baby!

She is sleeping wonderful at night. Generally(and I say this because there have been a few nights that are different) she falls asleep between 10-11pm and will sleep until 3-4am. Wake for a change and bottle and then will sleep for another 2-3.5 hours! She has been awake a lot more during the day as well.

I have my 6 week PP check next Wednesday. Not looking forward to that at all...really want no one else messing with me down there except DH(and thats only because he knows how and what to do...dr on the other hand...!) Hahahaha! But am looking forward to getting some BC started to lessen the worry of an oops.

DH has been working since April 30th. He likes what he is doing and the commute isn't too terrible. The money could be better. But we are hoping once the 6 month contract is up he will be offered a full time position and with that would be a raise of some sort. He will also be done with school and have his degree either December this year or March next year depending on how a couple of classes fall and if he can get a session or two with 3 classes instead of 2. My mom and dad also bought a used car from my uncle for us. We have a truck and they didn't like the fact that DH was taking the truck to work everyday and I was stuck at home without a vehicle, especially having the baby and the other two kiddos.

Happy to hear Kylie is growing well and sleeping thru the night! That's awesome! I hear ya on the 6 week appointment...I don't want anyone poking around down there either.

I'm glad your DH likes his job, hope he goes full time soon! And how awesome about the car. We also got a car from DH's parents when they found out we were pregnant. We paid them a bit for it, but nowhere near what its worth. I felt guilty for awhile but I know they really wanted to do that for us, so I'm just really grateful now!

Glad Kylie is doing so well!
Good for a new job and new car! So nice of your parents to get you guys one. I would really struggle without a car with three kids!!

My midwife didn't even do a physical on me. I asked her about it and she said she I didn't have any trauma or tearing down there, I was good to go!

Thanks ladies!

I am not looking forward to the check for me as I did have a first degree tear and was stitched up..so am pretty positive the dr will do an internal and pap as well(even though they did a pap at the beginning I was always told they do it again afterwards.)

The second vehicle is really helping out. Its a 2003 and has a ton of miles on it(my uncle used it for an employee as a work car) and it doesn't look all that great as the guy didn't take care of it. But as DH says, it's a car to get him to and from work he doesn't need anything special or great looking.

My hubby drives a 95 Jetta to and from work - it's my car from college! Over 200,000 miles on it, no exhaust system (we don't have inspections here), no a/c and one working window and random things missing from the outside of it but it has very few problems and gets good gas mileage!
