Lack of schedule killing me!!!

So we have talked about this before but Rylee's lack of a schedule is making me nuts!!! I honestly think she has her day and night eating off. During the day she snacks a lot. Like 2 oz here and 4 a few hrs later than 2. Then at night before bed she sucks back 6oz and wakes up 4-5 hrs later and sucks back another 6. Her night one is usually like 4am which is the worst time ever in my opinion because then DHs alarm goes off at 5:45 so there is no time going back to sleep etc. DD was on a schedule right away and took 6-8 oz a feed and was going through the night. We are going away this weekend and then moving her to her room and crib when we get back. I just wish I could figure her out. I only make 2 oz bottles now because I never know what she wants. She's super happy and stuff just making me insane and I know part of it is that I am a very schedule oriented person.

Is she only waking up the one time at night? IMO, that seems developmentally appropriate for that age. It sucks that the timing is, bad, but honestly, I'd kill for a night of only having to wake up once at 4am and being able to put the baby back in bed for the rest of the night. As for the schedule, I had my DS on a schedule, but Emma just isn't having it. She doesn't do well with us trying to force her hand with eating and sleeping. I think some babies take to it and some babies don't.

Joan yes it is only the once and I am okay with the night but the day snacking is more bothersome. I know it's different for a formula baby but it is so different from my DD it is crazy. We see the pedi on mon so we plan to ask then. I think part of it is we feed her right away when she fusses if it is bottle time and we may need to let her cry more or something. I also think the night stuff is bothering me because she is the noisiest sleeper. So even when she is asleep she wakes me up. So hopefully her going to her crib and her room will stop some of that

Kylie isn't on any kind of schedule at all either. She also only wakes up once at night and some nights she sleeps all the way through. Right now she is taking 4oz bottles but I feel like i'm feeding her every 2-2.5 hours. I am going to start trying to give her a 5oz bottle when she wakes up in the morning in hopes that she will go a little longer and then try to get her on some sort of schedule during the day for feeding, we will see how this goes.
My DS was great on a schedule at this age during the day. He always went to sleep at about 8-8:30pm as well, but he was up 2-3 times a night for anywhere from 1-2 hours each time, it was insanely exhausting.

I would love if Henry could go longer than 2 hours between feedings during the day. The past 5 days he has even asked to be fed every 1 hour 15 minutes. Drives me nuts. I guess it could be a really long growth spurt, but I'm tired of it. Seriously when do they start eating less? I usually only have to wake up once at night too, and its usually around 4. Which I agree is the worst time ever. Because if its 2am, you can go back to bed. But if its 4am and you typically get up at 5:30, then whats the point of even trying to go back to bed. Makes for a long day. And Henry is a piggy too, its not like he is starving or anything, although if you heard his cry you would think that. He gained a little over a pound in one week.

Emma's been bad about snacking during the day lately too. I wonder if it's the age or something ... maybe because they're discovering more things around them.

Reid is snacky too. I think part of it is that he gets distracted really easily right now, so I don't think he is getting full meals some times. Grrrrr.....

Gah, sounds like I have the only piggy LOL We don't have a schedule, except maybe in the morning. But she still wakes up at odd hours in the morning sometimes. Tim gets her up and ready and off to daycare because I have to be at work at 4am. But when I pick her up, she naps when she's tired and goes to bed anywhere between 6 and 730. However, she usually eats 6oz. Its like her favorite thing to do...eat. She usually takes a bottle about every 4 hours, except overnight and first thing in the am. Those are less.
