I did our nursery in yellow and green for my dd so I wouldn't have to redo it. I have pink storage, curtains and her name on the wall is pink so if we have a boy next, I will swap out the pink stuff for blue and done, lol! I probably will leave her in the nursery until baby #2 is 6 months old or so, then I will have to move her into the guest room. I want to decorate that one in light pink and white, I will just have to get DH on board with whatever cost is involved. It currently is white with lavender accents but I want to get new furniture and really make it into a cute little girl's room.
When DD was little, we didn't end up using the nursery until she was 8 months old as she slept in our room until then. However, I did use it for nursing, especially if she was too fussy to nurse lying down at night when my DH was trying to sleep. It was a nice relaxing place for me to sit and nurse her. It was the cleanest room in the house since we didn't have clutter accumulating there like in the lived in areas, and it was also the nicest room in the house since it was the only room that was actually "decorated", everywhere else was just whatever stuff we brought with us from our apartment days. I enjoyed having a quiet, clean retreat to nurse in!
Here are the pics of the nursery taken before DD was born:
