    Default My appt today

Well, lets see. Weight - down 4 lbs from 2 weeks ago. BP was 128/82 which they said was fine, but that's a bit high from what I'm normally sitting at. Went in, the Nurse Practitioner did my appt. I had originally scheduled with her anyway, but then they switched it to the MW so I could discuss going on Zoloft with her. But she called in today, so I saw the NP anyway. Measured me, listened to the HB, which she said was between 130 and 140 and perfect. Asked me was the Zoloft helping. Told me to come back in two weeks and then after that I'm on weekly appts. She said during week 35 they do the strep test thingy. That doesn't sound real fun to me.

Anyway, quick appt. I can't believe I'm almost to weekly appts. EEEEKKK

Yay, sounds like a good appointment! Could the Zoloft affect your blood pressure at all (not that it was concerningly high or anything.)

I have an appt today too! We seem to be on the same schedule, lady! Mine is not until this afternoon though.

Glad your appointment went smoothly. The GBS test is not a big deal...they just use a swab and do a quick swipe down below. It's like 10 seconds so just a small nuisance.

I was thinking the same as Alissa, could it affect your BP any? Anyway, glad you had a good appointment!

I wonder if they'll do the GBS test for me since I am having a csection.. hrm..

Good appt! I didn't have the gbs with my first since it is a csection and not sure about this time since it is again. I also was never checked for dilation last time but again with a new doc I am not sure

Nidia, I would totally decline it if you know you are having a csection. I don't see why it would even matter in that case since the issue is the baby picking it up on their way out.

Sounds like a good appointment! The GBS swab is no biggie, they just run a cotton swab around real quick-its not very invasive at all thankfully.

They're testing for a form of strep. The same virus you get in your throat, but it lives in your hoo-hah. Completely fine if you DO have it, it's normal. But it can cause complications for baby on the way out... so they give you an anti-biotic during labor if you're positive. All they do is swab your hoo-hah and ...my doc said "around the back" too, but not "in the back" lol
