I am doing some major nesting right now. I can not stop cleaning! I cleaned and did laundry right up until we left the house yesterday and as soon as we got home, I finished the laundry. I'm at work, and all I can think about is what cleaning and organizing I could be getting done at home.
I'm nesting too, but in the sense of crafting. I've started to crochet a baby blanket and I've already knitted a hat. I also bought supplies to make a mobile similar to this, but without the bike wheel.
We are moving at the end of the month so I think the serious nesting will start then.
I envy you guys! I WISH nesting would kick in so maybe I can get some laundry done and house cleaning. As it is, I'm so exhausted when I get home from work, I just wanna sleep. Then when I get up, I'm ALWAYS sick to my stomach for some reason. It's a super sucky cycle.
What is organization?? In the past month I've lost both my debit cards (but found them later) and now I can't find my drivers license.I coupon, so at any given time, there's coupons to go though and put away. There's mail (usually bills) that sit on the entertainment center. All my meds are on the table. I have three dogs - one sheds ALL THE TIME (he's not mine, he's MIL's and was supposed to just be here visiting). However, the room that baby will be going into is EMPTY. My brother moved out and right now the Christmas stuff is in there, but DH will put that back in the attic soon. I hope. If I really put my mind to it, I could have my house somewhat clean (definitely not nook and cranny clean) in about 2 hours.
And then tomorrow it'll look like crap again and I don't have kids! LOL
Elizabeth, that mobile is adorable!
I guess I'm kind of nesting too. I went through in mid-December and completely re-organized the room that is going to be T's new room and put everything in the basement that I felt okay to carry. (The new baby is going in T's old room, so we can't set up the nursery until we move T.)
Now, I definitely have the itch to bring up everything from the basement that the new baby will be using and start washing/cleaning it (like the car seats, bassinettes, clothes, et cetera) but I know that it will be better to wait until DH gets the rooms moved (T to his new bedroom, and the dresser from the spare bedroom into the nursery) before I start brining stuff up that will just be in the way.
In the meantime, I cleaned my whole house really really well this week, and am shopping for warm newborn clothes and swaddling blankets.
So yes, I think I am nesting.![]()
