What's everyone's plans for New Years Eve? I plan on drinking champagne and getting completely drunk!
JUST kidding. 1. I don't think I've EVER been drunk my entire life. and 2. Duh, I'm pregnant.
I'm off on the 1st, but DH may not be, so we'll probably go to bed at 8 or 830 like usual. No plans here. I may go see my mom on the 1st, my grandmother and aunt are visiting her, but if I can't get my backup to work for me on the 2nd, that'd be a whoooooole lot of driving in one day.
We're having DH's sister, her boyfriend, and some of DH's cousins (all around our age) over on New Years Eve for a Game Night (board games.) Very low key, we'll have snacks and beer for those who are drinking (but not much beer, no one in his family is a heavy drinker.) I doubt I'll make it to midnight. lol
Well I'm working New Year's Eve. But that night we will go to a friend's house party and party it up. I will be designated driver of course and thank goodness they don't live very far. It will be fun even though I'm not drinking because these friends are food connoisseurs and always have a good spread. I will be hanging out by the food table for sure!
Alissa, I play some sort of board game almost every other night. Inviting some people over to play sounds like a good idea, however, DH is SUCH a bad loser, I'd be embarrassed if he started acting weird LOL
Elizabeth, have fun! I can't even begin to think about "partying" - I just wanna go to bed!
We invited another couple with a toddler over for supper , but I'm not sure if they will be able to come or not. If not, we will not do anything, if they do come, we will just visit and let our kids play. Last year we had several families over and I made a bunch of finger foods and used all my fancy dishes to serve everything-it was really fun and I wanted to do it again but what with New Year's Eve being on a week night instead of a weekend and with me being pregnant and not as energetic as normal, that just wasn't going to work this year.
