Not all round ligament pains are created equal

So as I mentioned in another post, I had some severe burning pain in my pelvic region right above my hair line. It feel like serious intense burning. Last night it lasted a couple of hours and I couldn't move. Today that sensation traveled to the area between my leg and crotch. And when I walked the pressure was so intense that I felt the baby might pop out.

I got a little freaked out and went to see my midwife this afternoon. Baby is fine, I am fine....apparently I'm just pregnant. LOL. She checked my cervix and it was perfect and the baby is right where it should be. So she said it was round ligament pain. But geez louise, this is way different from the round ligament pain I have when I sneeze.

I'm also attributing it to the extra 6lbs I've gained in the past 2 weeks. I'm on a roll with weight gain now. Haha. I guess I will just take it easy and try to not think about it. I'm just going to have to have someone hand me all my xmas presents this year. Haha. Sitting and standing is just really uncomfortable. Forget about crossing my legs. That's impossible.

Ouch! I get pains when I sit up after having sat for a while. Glad it is just RLP and nothing serious!

Ugh! I'm glad it's just RLP and nothing serious, but that does NOT sound fun at all! Being pregnant is just chock full of weird aches and pains, isn't it?

I don't have a burning sensation, but I do have some awesome pain on my left side. I *think* her head is there or something because it doesn't always hurt and I feel her kicks mainly on the right side.

RLP sucks. I have it when I sneeze, cough, turn around, stand up, sit down ....LOL

Whelp, I still don't believe this is RLP. It is constant whether I'm sitting or standing and today I felt a hard lump in the area where it hurts. I had DH feel it and it can feel it too. I'm starting to wonder if its a hernia or cyst or something. I just need some frickin relief here. I even took a tylenol and I never take tylenol. I kind of wish I had requested an ultrasound when I went in. Now I'm going to have to call again and schedule something and I will worry all throughout christmas.

I have a friend who gets really bad pains like that while pregnant. It sounds horrible. Sorry!

Did you ever see a doctor about it?

Nope all my friends swear its RLP...even though its constant and hurts when I rest. The pain is still noticeably there but not as bad as the other day, so I'm going to wait until my next appointment to mention it. Thanks for checking on me though.

My friend described it as feeling like someone was stabbing her in the crotch with a knife! The lump seems a bit concerning though.

Yes, it's the lump that worries me too. I hope that the pain subsides soon.
