Thank you so much. I just have to keep telling myself to remember that but I guess it gets so hard because I obsess about it all the time. If I could avoid looking in a mirror, taking pictures of myself, and putting on clothes than I guess I could feel better. But it seems hard to avoid those three things. I mean my maternity clothes are starting not to fit. And that makes me feel even more horrible.

Oooh, I am right there with you. My maternity pants roll down because they aren't prepared to contain my gigantic belly, and my maternity shirts are starting to get too short. It does feel like a sad day when even your maternity clothes don't fit very well.

If it makes you feel any better, I am also now officially too big to sit in booths. I went out to eat with some coworkers today, and I could barely squeeze my gigantic body into the booth, so we had to move to a table. So freaking embarrassing!!!

Alissa, I'm short so - my boobs sit on top of the table and my belly slides underneath LOL Which is pretty good because if I had to bring my food all the way from my plate, over the belly and to my mouth without missing? PFFFT, I'd have a lot of dirty shirts.

Haha, I like the idea of tucking your belly neatly under the table. My belly does catch everything - every bit of spilled food or coffee or anything like that. I'm tallish so booth tops hit me just above the widest part of my ginormous stomach. *eye roll* I was all "Does this booth make me look fat?" LOL

That's exactly what I am talking about. It annoys and depresses me. I still have 9 weeks to go so if i keep gaining weight like i am then i wont be able to fit in my maternity clothes. I'm actually wearing my hubby's sweatpants and t shirts to bed already.

and as for the booths, i haven't really noticed but I guess I will soon. I hope to go eat some Mexican soon. I'll have to test the booths out.

I agree with Alissa; I really think it's somewhat genetic. Obviously you shouldn't just be eating junk and being a couch potato all the time but it sounds like you are doing the right things so really don't worry about it.
I have a friend as well who is probably like 115lbs normally and she gains about 40lbs for her pregnancies but she is back to her skinny self now - after four kids!
I tend to gain 20-25lbs but I stepped on the scale the other day and I'm already at 20lbs so I feel ya. And I also tend to keep 5lbs after each pregnancy so I am heavier starting out each time. Blech.
But really, you do drop a lot after you have baby and if you are active and eating well afterward, the pounds should drop right off!
Oh and I go through spurts too. I gained a ton over the holiday break but then I lost a couple pounds a few weeks later!
So since you really can't control your weight right now, don't worry about it until after baby comes and your body is working a little more normally.

Your weight gain really does sound quite normal for pregnancy. I can relate to feeling huge, my maternity tops are starting to get close to not covering my belly-I've still got almost 10 weeks to go so I am nervous I will outgrow them. It sounds like you are doing everything right with the eating healthy-that is where I don't always do so well, I love sugary stuff and carbs so I tend to eat too much of them. And the weight does come back off after you have the baby, especially if you breastfeed, that really burns the calories. Just try not to stress yourself now about the weight and try not to get caught up on the numbers on the scale-easier said than done, I know, but just focus on the fact that you are growing an amazing healthy baby!

I am also not fitting into maternity clothes! I had to get rid of a pair of pants yesterday because they were so tight.

Yeah I'm eliminating shirts by the day. My belly just hangs out the bottom of them, ugg!
