My ticker says I'm 3 weeks and a few days. Is this right? I have another app I'm using saying I'm 4 weeks. And that the day my period is ddue would be my 5th week. My question is, why are they all different? And what do you ladies go by? The first day of my last period was July 19th and I have about a 13 day lp. I think I ovulated on the August 1st. Most calculators say I'm due April 24th or 25th.
I tend to go on my ovulation.
I sometimes o on cd 12 and because my lutael phase is normally 14 days on the dot I know I'll have a 26 day cycle.
So I type in the first day of af (bright red) and enter 26 as my cycle.
This month I am stereotypical of 28 days.
I think I would be due 27th.
When you are 4 weeks and 1 day fir example it's classed as your 5th week. 5 weeks is you 6th week.
First day of af would be 1st week.
Do I make sense?
There is a pretty good discussion here on this. When I was charting I found my O day is pretty variable and I have a 12 day LP instead of 14 days, which is I think what most calculators assume when they ask for the length of your average cycle. I always liked to use an edd calculator that uses the date of conception. There is a link to one in the article I referenced...you can find it here. I'm an engineer so I tend to get a little anal about the details at times but it's always good to remember especially if you are sitting there 40 weeks preggo that it's just an estimate. But, I figure might as well estimate as accurately as possible, right? :)
Use this website! This is my favorite Due Date calulator! It tells you everything! I think most people go by LMP if they don't know when the o'd but if you do, I would go by ovulation which can be figured out pretty easily by + or - LMP date to get the correct ovlulation date. You'll see what I mean when you calculate it.

I like that calculator - it even said I'm due a day earlier than the doc! haha. But I do like that you can click on quickness and vitality (I had no idea what either of them were). If the dates are on, I should be starting to feel him/her move around ..the same time as my moms birthday. She'll be super happy to know I can feel her grandkid
Yeah its better to go by your o date than your lmp if you don't have a "normal" cycle.
I go by my O date because I know I tend to O around CD 18 and have a 10 day LP. Going by LMP throws me off by 4 days which bothers my OCD tendencies. :)

Thanks ladies. I think I get it now.
