Do you like to cook? bake?
I love cooking and baking but my DH is super picky so when I cook it ends up I have to eat it all or it goes to waste. A lot of times we have people over so I can cook for everyone but then it becomes expensive. I am baking pumpkin bread right now and it smells so good lol
I used to, when I had more time. When I lived in Chicago, I was only working 32 hours a week and I would come home and cook a grand dinner and bake on the weekends. I loved it. Plus it was cold there, so having the oven on was always nice.
I do cook 6 nights a week, but they are fast meals, with little thought put into it. And DH and I are super bored with our fast meals. I just don't have time to be elaborate anymore. And I seriously haven't baked anything since I lived in Chicago which was 2.5 years ago. But DH's grandma bakes so much, that if I baked too, I'd be eating nothing but sweets 24/7. So its probably for the best.
I do love to cook, but with working full time, it's hard to do what I'd like to do or put much heart into it. Like Elizabeth said, I end up doing a lot of faster meals that don't require a lot of effort. One thing I love about the holidays is getting a chance to make a big, fancy meal and actually make some things from scratch. I don't do a lot of baking, but I do love making bread.
I used to love to bake. I do like cooking, but I never really put in the effort anymore. I'm so tired when I get home that the last thing I want to do is cook some fancy meal.
I can take or leave the cooking. I'm no gourmet chef, but we do alright. Normally it doesn't bother me, but here lately, I just don't have the energy or drive to cook.
I hate baking! I will do it..simple things like cookies, cupcakes, brownies...but I don't feel like i'm very good at it, so it's frustrating for me. I'd rather just buy pre made stuff. Haha!
I like cooking and I love baking. I am too tired to cook anything elaborate after getting home from work though so we tend to eat a lot of the same things over and over again. I like to do crockpot recipes frequently so the food is ready to eat when i walk in the door. I also try to do a lot of cooking on Sundays when I can do something a little more elaborate and we eat the leftovers for hopefully 2-3 more suppers. My biggest problem right now is lack of meal planning. I don't like to take DD grocery shopping with me so the only time I can go is either Thursday nights or on the weekends. I hate going out to run errands on the weekends so I try to shop only on Thursdays, but I usually haven't planned ahead for what I want to cook for the following week, so I end up wandering around trying to think of menus and it makes the shopping trip last too long, plus I always just think of the same old ideas.
I don't like cooking; it stresses me out almost every day when I have to think of something to make. Seriously, it's bad.
I do like baking though, probably because I like sweets! It's just more fun somehow.
I enjoy cooking and baking even though it does kind of stress me out sometime. I actually just started learning how to both cook and bake. Im not good at it but Im still learning lol, I better learn fast though because I'm going to need to cook for the baby when he gets older. lol
