Thread: question about ovulation

Hey a quick question: When I start having the clear slippery mucus, does that mean that I am ovulating now or a few days prior to ovulation? When to ? I don't chart to temp. I just go by mucus.

I have read conflicting things about this. One thing said that immediately prior to O you have the most fertile cm and on O day the mucus dries up and another said right on O day you have the most fertile mucus then the day or two after it dries up. Either way if you have fertile cm I would bd. Its good to cover your bases and bd every other day when having fertile cm. I take it you arent doing OPKs either?

I always took it as watery being better CM for fertility timing. I agree with Tiffany. Just start BDing. And OPKs are always good!

From OPKs and temping last time we were TTCing, I found that at least for me, I would get more and more EWCM in the days leading up to O, the most on O day, and then dry up the next day. But, everyone is different so that may not be the case for you. This time I just relied on checking my mucus instead of temping and OPKs, and it worked. I agree with the other gals. If you're getting EXCM, just BD like crazy.

If you are wiping and the TP slips and slides - dtd NOW! haha.
But I'd think that means you will ovulate soon because that's when you are most fertile. I'd say you are ovulating w/in the next 24hrs when you have that slippery CM.
