recovery

How's everyone's recovery doing? Elizabeth ... I hope you're recovering from your awful tear. Alissa, how about your relaxed pelvic floor (I'm not sure if I got that right) issue? How's everyone's belly looking? I'll be 6 weeks ppd on Monday and my uterus is still very large. I don't know why it doesn't seem to be shrinking down all the way. Its so weird to feel this big, empty sack in my belly. It's also very tender. I've been trying to walk but I get sore really easily, inside and on my outer incision. Also, my digestive system has been a mess since surgery. I have an appt next week, so I'll see what the doctor says. Hopefully things start getting back to normal soon. I hope you all are doing well with your recovery!

Overall I would say fully recovered and have been for a few weeks. My belly is down I would say except for the flab to lose. I think the meds they gave me to contract helped that along a lot. AF sucked but it's over now so not anything to cry about! My digestive system also has been off and I am either constipated or total opposite so hoping the healthy eating, fiber and water will help that. I have a week of maternity left and am looking forward to going back for the 20 days actually. I need the routine because otherwise I let myself sit here like I am right now despite wanting to get up and clean

I swear I've been both at the same time over these last few weeks!

Yes, you got it right. Smile I have been doing a ton of kegels for the past three weeks. I can tell that those muscles are stronger and easier to use, but I haven't seen a noticeable improvement in my VJ yet, sadly. I'm not sure how long it is supposed to take if its going to help. DH and I still haven't dtd because I've been so tired so I haven't gotten a chance to see how it actually impacts anything in that area. I don't know. If kegels don't help and it bothers me, there is always surgery, but I have to say I'm not super eager to have surgery on my hoohah so we'll see.

My belly is a wreck too. I look okay with my clothes on, but my bare belly is totally saggy and jiggly. Like I don't even have stomach muscles, I just have a loose layer of fat and skin covering that section of my body.

Wow, I don't sound bitter or anything, do I? LOL

I think recovery is going so so. The bleeding and brown discharge has stopped this past week. I will be 5 weeks PP on Monday. I gained 29lbs total, and am down 20 and can't seem to get the last 9lbs to go anywhere! I hate the look of my stomach. The stretch marks are still red and it's jiggly and of course none of my clothes fit and IF they do I don't feel like they look or fit right. I feel like the extra 9lbs are all in the stomach and thighs. DH and I haven't DTD yet, but we talked last night that maybe we will try this weekend(kind of nervous to be honest). I honestly haven't taken a look to see if the stitches are gone. Every great once in a while I feel like I can still feel them if I sit a certain way, but i'm not sure.

It's okay. I think I'm still 5lbs from this pre-pregnancy still which is what I was like a week pp. Those last few pounds are the hardest to get off. I *finally* have almost stopped bleeding.
Of course my stomach is yucky but it was yucky before so that's no biggie. I fit into some of my clothes but nothing looks good on me. I just try not to look in the mirror too much!
I'm hoping to start exercising next week. I have been eating WAYY too much junk lately and I *need* to get some pounds down so I at least look a bit slimmer.
My 6 wk appt is next Tuesday and after that hopefully we have the go ahead to dtd because DH is totally dying over here lol!

Well.. I'm down 40 lbs from my prepregnancy weight. I fit into clothes I haven't fit into in a long time EXCEPT pants. Around my incision site is still...big? swollen? ..something. I'm just now getting feeling back into it. I'm still bleeding sorta, its more discharge than anything.

My one year anniversary is coming up on Sunday. DH has been dying over here as well, he's been pawing at me for 2 weeks atleast, so.. I figure I'll be almost 6 weeks by then and I guess as long as he takes it easy... He's super excited. When I told him he was like...really? REALLY? lol

And, I had stretch marks already, but the ones where the baby was are still angry looking and there are a ton of them. I, thankfully, do not have a mirror in the house that is that long so I only look (more like stare) at it when I'm at MIL's house. LOL

My tear is healing, I think. I did slide out of bed on Tuesday night for a dipe change and felt it tear all over again. I woke up DH and said "I'm paralyzed" and made him change that dipe and get me a hydrocodone. But since then, its been ok. I feel it the most when I have done a lot of walking...which you have to do to soothe a screaming baby.

My belly is flabby, and my belly button is gross looking. I also have stretch marks around my belly button that I never noticed when I was pregnant. Boo.

I am still about 9lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight. But I could care less. My arms look fantastic though from handling this baby! Nursing in public is equivalent to going to the gym in my opinion.

I get lots of uterine cramping a lot lately. I'm not bleeding too much though, its just like a light period.

Now my boobs are another story. Ive got a hole in my left nipple...going to use a nipple shield for a couple of days and hope it heals.

35 lbs over pre-preg weight..

Seem to still have tightening in my feet (swollen) - elevation doesn't help..

Tummy is disgustingly flabby but that's part of the +35 for ya..

DH could care less about DTD so not even an issue I'm worried about right now..

Yeah my DH is equally as tired as I am, neither of us have DTD on the mind. And to be honest with my tear, I think I might wait a bit longer than 6 weeks. I'm so scared!!

I had a 4th degree with my first, and I honestly couldn't fathom DTD after 6 weeks. I don't think we DTD for about 12-15 weeks. There was no way I wanted anything CLOSE to my hoo-hah anytime before that.
