    Default Registry

My mom texted me last night and asked me who bought the crib off my registry. I said no one has bought anything off of there as far as I know. She said yes, she just checked it and some things were bought. So, I looked on there... and someone bought my CRIB!!!! And the mattress and some diapers AND my mom is buying me a glider! I'm so freakin excited because I really really thought the big items were going to be an issue.

Now I just need a car seat and a stroller. I actually need two of each, but one is fine while I'm out on mat leave. Speaking of mat leave.... I can't believe it's almost here. I can't believe I'll be at 30 weeks tomorrow. HOOOLLLLYYYY CRAP! Where did the time go? I've been so busy stressing out, I haven't realized that 30 whole weeks have gone by.

Yay!!!!! It's always nice when good things unexpectedly happen. A few less things that you have to buy yourselves or can take the money you had planned on using to purchase those items and do other things.
The only big expensive thing on our registry is our travel system and i'm fairly certain no one will buy that except maybe one of my aunts, but it would be awesome!

Wow, someone you don't even know who it was bought your crib? That's awesome!!!
Why do you need two car seats? Can you just get an extra base for the infant seat?
I always loved spying on my registry too.

Vicki, I want two carseats because I want one to *live* in my car and one to *live* in DH's car. Both of us (mainly me) are forgetful, and I'd definitely leave for the day WITH the carseat in my car and think nothing of it - even if DH was home with her and needed to go somewhere. I'm pretty sure the crib was bought my MIL, but everyone is being really secretive about this baby shower. I'm not even sure who's coming and it's at MY house LOL. I think my grandmother is coming too so I'm super worried about house being clean because she is ...um...way more upper class than I am - or ever will be.

Ahh I see. Although when they're little, you generally will take the car seat out of the car (like the bucket seat) which is why I suggested a base. But if you think you will just take the baby out of the seat then it might be better to have two.
Well, if your grandmother is coming, does that mean she will bring a nice gift as well? Totally worth it to clean then!

I'm sure she will bring something nice, either a gift or a giftcard... and I have a Mustang and thought long and hard about what kind of carseat I wanted. But in the end - there's really no other option. I'm not hauling a car seat out of a 2 door sports car every time I need to go somewhere with the baby. I refuse! LOL
