Love the Birth Story! Sounds like minus the few scares you had with heart rate going down, it was an awesome birth. I'm glad you got a good epi this time! And its great that he is an awesome latcher already.
You will have to post some more photos of Reid when you can. He's almost a week old. WOW!!!
Congrats again! I enjoyed reading your birth story and so happy it went well overall. Especially that nursing is going smoothly and you feel better in the aftermath this time. I found it interesting your labor started with ruptured membranes again...both mine were the same. It's fairly uncommon for it to start that way but it does make it easy to determine if you should go to the hospital or not. Once that happens it's baby time
I agree w/ Lynn, it's nice that your water breaks first because then you *know*. So glad that the pit kick started your contractions and that you didn't have to stay on it too long. Sounds like things went really well for you this time around!!!
"And my stomach is ALWAYS rock hard (which is kinda awesome 'cuz it's definitely not rock hard when I'm not pregnant LMAO)."
That's Braxton Hicks contractions which is a good sign because it means your body is gearing up for labor.
I don't know if movement really changes that much towards the end except that the baby is getting bigger and more squished so it might slow down some.
What a beautiful birth story! I am so glad everything turned out to be wonderful! I know you are super happy right now and I hope things continue to go well! Will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!
I'm with you, I couldn't ever really tell when my stomach was supposed to be getting hard, because it was always just hard. DH said it felt like a shoulder...lol. Lmao at liking it because that's the only time your stomach is rock hard. You and me both, sister.
