I'm so happy and relieved, I just had to share. I know I've mentioned before that Reid hates to be put down. Because of that, getting him to sleep anywhere other than my arms has been a major struggle. I know that co-sleeping is an option, but I personally find that I can hold a baby all day long happily, but I need to be able to sleep without having to hold someone or be touching someone or worrying about someone else's space all night long. I only barely tolerate having DH in bed with me.
So anyway, Reid has had other plans this past week, but I've kept working on it every night, trying to get him to sleep at least part of the time in the crib. It's been tiring and frustrating. And then last night, he slept there all night without crying at all except for when he needed fed. He was perfect!!!! I'm sooooo psyched. I hope that this means he will be okay with sleeping in there from now on. Also, I tried my Moby briefly yesterday and he liked it! The only thing is I know it's supposed to be for babies over 8 lbs and he is only like 6.5, so I'm going to ask his pedi at our appt this week if its okay to use regularly or if we need to wait. But that will help with the all day holding if he keeps insisting on that, which I'm okay with. Like I said, just so long as I get to sleep alone (with DH) I'm good.
That is great that he likes his crib. Hope you get a bit more rest now. I'm happy to hear the moby is working out for you. Makes me less intimidated. Do you need DH's help putting the baby in the moby or did you do it by yourself? Just looks hard for some reason. I'm excited to try though.
I just put him in the Moby myself. I agree that it seems intimidating! All of that cloth! But it's actually pretty easy to wrap and get them in it. The one thing I will say bad about the Moby is the way it falls on me really accentuates my belly pudge. LMAO
