    Default Should I be worried?

Since Friday the babies HB has been pretty consistant in like the 150's. This morning around 6:30 am I decided to listen before I got dressed for work and it was really low and all over the place. It would go down to like 88 then shoot up to 120, then 130 then back down to 90. It's strange because it was the loudest I've ever heard it but just all over the place. Should I be worried with those crazy numbers???? I will try again tonight. Now I've got this stuck in my head! UGH!!!

Are you sure you were hearing the babies' HB the whole time? I think 80-90 sounds more like your HB, especially if you were getting nervous/anxious. I think it's stuff like this why our doctors/mws always try to discourage us from using dopplers (but no judgement here, I'm getting ready to go use mine too - lol!) If you're super worried, call your doc and see if you can come in for a minute to have the nurse listen to the h/b.

I agree with Alissa. I have a doppler too.. and since I've been checking everyday, I've noticed MY heartbeat has gone from just way over on the side like near my leg, to EVERYWHERE down there. And it's louder. And my doppler is crap for actually *counting* the heartbeat. I wouldn't worry too much - take your time tonight and see if you hear anything different in just one spot. I have to be RIGHT ON the baby to hear it.

I agree with everyone! 80s is probably your heartbeat. I remember with DS being able to physically feel my heartbeat down by my belly.

That's a good point too Jessica. My doppler is total crap at counting the heartrate. I swear to god, it will give me a reading of like 120 when it's not even touching skin. Then, I put it up to my own h/b and it said it was like 130 (and I was nice and relaxed, not having a panic attack or something.) So I don't even look at the monitor to see the count, I just listen for a second to see if I hear it, and then turn it off.

I agree with everyone else. No need to worry. I usually use my doppler at night and the one time I used it in the morning I couldn't find it. I think maybe they are just snugged up real good when your sleeping...either that or the baby was moving around too much to get a good reading. Sometimes I hear the heartbeat loud and good but the reading is bad and sometimes I can't hear the heartbeat too well, but the reading is good.

    I'm sure everything is ok.

I found it again nice and strong in the 150's, it was much faster. Could it be possible the baby switched sides or something because I kinda hear something where I originally found the HB on Friday but now on that side it's a slower HB sound, could that be mine then. I don't know either way it was there and I'm soooo relieved. I couldn't wait to get home to try again. I have an OB appt on Thursday so not too long of a wait. I will get an idea of where the HB is located. I was finding it where the US tech found it last time, so this baby might be moving around too much. Who knows.... thanks for making me feel better while I was at work believe me I was reading your responses!!! THey kept me sane!!!

Yay!! (((HUGS))) so glad you found it again! I know once last week I couldn't find it ANYWHERE. I was starting to freak out and I found it wayyyyy over on the left hand side. It hasn't been over there since, but.. they can definitely move...

So glad that you found it and it was nice and strong and you aren't worried anymore. Agree with Jessica, they move around, those tricky little buggars! I found mine way lower and farther to the right than I was expecting this morning.

UGH back to nothing again. Yesterday and this morning it has been so incredibly faint that I literally had to put my ear to the doppler. It sounds nice and fast but you can barely hear a thing. BUT I can't tell for sure if it's mine or baby since it doesn't even register a number. I mean if the TV were on I wouldn't even hear it. Luckily I have the appt tomorrow if not I would be freaking out.
