Default So who is this baby of yours?

Many of us are starting to move out of that sleepy (or crying) newborn stage and into the regular baby stage where you can really start to see some of your baby's personality. So, who is your baby? What is her personality like so far? What does he like? What does he hate?

Despite being a pretty challenging newborn, Reid has magically morphed into a pretty laid back and happy baby. I didn't think I would ever say this about him, but these days he hardly ever cries, and he greets everyone with a huge smile (see below.) He is extremely interested in the world around him, and will just stare and stare at new people or new things. You can almost hear the wheels in his head turning while he tries to figure everything out. I think he's going to be very verbal like his brother, because he loves to have conversations where you talk to him and he coos, back and forth for minutes on end. He loves his big brother and the dog, and being carried or held facing out so he can see. There isn't anything I can think of that he really seems to hate at this point. Like I said, he's gotten very laid back about most things.

    Big grin!

So cute! He does look wise Alissa! So cute that he is chatty, and I'm glad to hear he is laid back now...gives me hope.

I will post more about my little turkey this afternoon. He is still in the newborn stage, but some personality is starting to show.

Henry is now 6 weeks, he is still far behind y'alls April babies, but he has changed so much in my eyes. He can lift his head, scoot and lift his bum in the air during tummy time. He is always trying to go somewhere, so I think he will like travelling when he is older. This boy loves to eat, he isn't picky either. He takes his reflux meds just as fast as he nurses, so I think and hope he won't be a picky eater. After his breakfast he spends about 30 minutes smiling and cooing. He loves his playmat and looking at himself in the mirror. He has started to kind of reach for things VN that are suspended above him, especially my hair. While he still has his fussy bits, he still a very sweet baby.

Oh my gosh Elizabeth, he's adorable!!! He sounds like a sweetheart, even if he is still a fussbutt sometimes. Heck, my five year old is still a fussbutt sometimes. Thats pretty normal for a lot of kids I think.

Alissa, can we see a side by side of Reid and T at that age?

Elizabeth, it sounds like things are starting to calm down a bit for you. I bet you'll find the more milestones he hits, the more his temperment improves.

As for Emma, I can't believe what a little sweetheart she is. DS was a lot fussier at this age so it's really fun to see so many smiles at this age. Of course we have the occasional off day (last night's bedtime was a nightmare!), but it's rare. For the most part, she's just a happy little sweetie. She loves music, lights, and mirrors. She'll look up at this light up toy on her playmat and bust out huge grins! She's been doing this new thing where in the middle of nursing, she'll pop off, look at me, and start smiling! It's the sweetest thing I've ever seen. I just love it! She's also enamored by her daddy. She follows him around with her gaze. It's so sweet. She'll also nap for hours on his chest, where she only naps for 45 minutes everywhere else. She does fall asleep in the swing which is a LIFESAVER!!

Joan, they do look similar. Here is T at about 3 mos:

and Reid making the same face. LOL

Reid has fuller lips and his daddy's dimple in his chin, but they do look a lot alike.

AWWWW Alissa they look alike def!!!

Rylee is turning into such a smiling happy girl. She loves her big sis to talk to her and she laughs and smiles at her and talks to her with her babble and her big sis just giggles back at her. She is so easy sometimes I feel bad that she just hangs around in her chair or swing. like this weekend we were sealing our deck and she was in the slider door just swinging and looking and talking to me and DH for a good two hours. She is very close to rolling over and she has started to love the tub! She also is very observant and loves being worn in the carrier facing out so she can see everyone and loves the ceiling fans. I love this new stage where they are doing more and more and each day is a new adventure!

Wade has always been an easy going baby, even in the womb he didnt make much of a fuss and he's still the same in that sense. He's such a chatter bug! He loves to just talk and coo to me, to the cieling fan, to the couch.. It doesn't matter! lol If he thinks someone is listening he is talking away. He still isn't too interested in faces yet. His big thing is paintings. He loves looking at the paintings on our walls. He also loves to smile. It melts my heart every time! I can't believe how much he's changed and has grown in just the last 2 months!
