Terrified to get beta tomorrow **Update**

389! Numbers according to the nurse are rising nicely. The doubled nicely! I go back Friday. Is that number good BTW? I know DH was looking online and of course many women had crazy numbers, much higher than mine right now so he just stopped reading and found a general guideline for 4 weeks of pregnancy and its' up to 500. So I guess that fine. That's why you can't google stuff!!!
*************************

I'm getting my follow up beta tomorrow and I'm a nervous wreck! I know I keep reading that symptoms at this point aren't that common but geez this sucks! I must say my boobs since yesterday afternoon seem more sore. So far today no cramping but by the end of last night I was sooo bloated! So I'm hoping these are all good signs! I hate the wait tomorrow it stinks so bad I wish they wouldnt wait so long to call!!!!

Mari - (((Hugs))) I know that it's hard not to worry when you can't actually see what's going on in there, but I think most women don't even know they're pregnant at 4w2d, let alone experience a lot of symptoms. Smile I can't wait to hear all about your appt tomorrow, but I am sure that everything is fine. Smile

I agree with Alissa. Besides my boobs hurting, I had zero symptoms until the middle of the 5th week. Besides, some of the symptoms (like morning sickness), I've read (which doesn't mean it's true) is related to your HCG rising. Even if your Beta is perfect (which I expect it will be!!!!), it's got a lot of rising to do before you feel it.

Still got my fingers crossed for you!

Your still so early that it's normal not to have many symptoms yet. With my last two I had no symptoms until I was 7-8 weeks along. I'll keep you in my prayers that everything goes well and your betas look great!

Marisol, I too worry about not having symptoms, but like everyone says we are both still early. I'm still poas to ease my mind. Are you doing the same? I will keep you in my thoughts tomorrow. I'm sure the results will be great.

Elizabeth-it looks like me and you will have a lot in common since we are only a day apart!

Well just waiting for the blood work results. No U/S today....I hate this wait.

My boobs are def. sorer so I'm very happy about that and still have the on and off again cramping.

Hope your day goes by as swiftly as possible. Excited to hear the results as well. Do you have one more beta after this?

You know I have no idea if they continue testing HCG, it's funny because I asked my DH the same question this morning. LOL, like he would know!

I never know what the numbers are "supposed to be" but I know they are supposed to rise steadily, so if your nurse is happy, that's good enough for me. Yahoo It sounds like everything is going swimmingly!

Since I was an HCG junkie before this pregnancy - I'm gonna tell you what everyyyy one else (including the doctor) told me. HCG varies widely from person to person, I mean WIDELY. One person can have 5, while another has 500, and both be pregnant and perfectly fine. What they are looking at is if it's doubling. A lot of problems with pregnancy (chemicals, ectopics) have rising HCG, but they don't double in 48 hours. I'm not entirely sure when you got your first Beta.. Friday maybe? and it was a 76. So that's supposed to double to 152 atleast by Sunday and then that is supposed to double to 304 atleast by TOMORROW. So you are ahead of the game. YAY!

yeah sometimes I wish I wouldn't even ask for the numbers, so that I wouldn't stress. At the end of the day, there is nothing i can do, so knowing this number and having access to google is just a bad combination. I've been told that I need to go based on the first number and it needs to double from there and it did so technically I should be sighing with relief but I'm not.

yeah I mean RE doesn't seem concerned, and the nurse said "numbers are good and rising nicely." But when you look at other peoples numbers I'm at the very low end. Sad So that totally totally sucks!!!!

My first beta was last Wed. 8/15. I think my doubling time is 51 hours.

Doubling time of 51 hours is right on schedule since they say it should double every 2-3 days.

Here is a calculator so you can find your doubling time beta doubling calculator

I put your numbers in and got: doubling time of 52 hours

When you start off at the very beginning of your pregnancy, they can take longer than 48 hours to double. Plus, now that your in the triple digits, it'll go up faster. No need to have numbers like everyone else Smile I didn't post that earlier post to stress you out - I think your numbers look fine.. and I DEFINITELY think if it were an issue, your doc would have said something.

Yay! Great news!! I agree with Alissa, if your doc says your numbers are good, then your numbers are good Wink
