Default Used baby bottles and nipples

So DH's coworker gave us a bunch of Tommee Tippee bottles and nipples. What do you gals think about using those? After googling a bit, people are saying used bottles are ok to use but to buy new nipples. I'm wanting your opinions on this.

From a health point, it's always safest to buy new nipples.. that would be my choice.. but there's the option to boil the hell out of them.. I'm sure that would kill anything that's still there??

How nice they gave you some TT bottles!!

I am torn about reusing our own old ones because I just feel its kind of gross even though we sterilize them so we are leaning towards buying more new ones so I prob wouldn't use them

I would reuse the bottles(sterilizing them as well) and go buy new nipples. We have registered for and gotten a few of the TT bottles, but we have a few left over from DS as well that we can use if need be. And I will do the same sterilize the bottles and then just buy new nipples.
Yay for free stuff. These TT bottles aren't cheap, so i'm really hoping they work.

I bought some TT bottles today. 20 bucks for three of them!! I'd totally reuse the bottles and just buy the new nipples... but yeah, sterilize them first. I mean, like Adriana said, boiling the hell outta them will kill everything anyway.

Those are supposed to be great bottles. I would also get new nipples. Even if you sterilize them, do you know what size (as in flow) all of the nipples are?

I concur, just buy new nipples and sterilize the bottles and new nipples too of course.

Yep, sterilize the bottles and buy new nipples. I am even registering for new nipples for our bottles as well even though I'm the one that used them. They just get cloudy and gross over time.

So you all sterilize NEW bottles/nipples before you use them? Or do you just wash them?
