    Default What is this? TMI..

This morning, I woke up and started to walk around funny. Like really waddling. Then I noticed I was walking like that because between my legs hurt. Not where the "hole" where baby would come out, but right around the um.. the clit. It seriously feels like someone has wedged a tennis ball RIGHT there. It's very uncomfortable to walk. I feel like I have to pee CONSTANTLY, but when I pee there's no relief from that uncomfortable-ness. I looked up baby dropping because I know people say it's like all the sudden having a bowling ball between your legs, but I'm not really "due" to drop for ATLEAST another four weeks if not more and when she was movin around this morning, it was in the same place I usually feel her.

Erm... Last night that area got a lot of attention from DH. But none of it hurt...and I didn't think he was rough or anything, especially not enough to make me sore this morning. It seriously just feels like someone has their fist stuck right in the very top of my hoo-hah. I kinda want to walk with my legs spread out, just so it doesn't bother me.

If she DID drop, then apparently that's not necessarily a tell tale sign of going into labor soon, so I'm not too worried about it. But it is uncomfortable to say the least.

    Anyone know what this is?

    *lurker*

It's called the pubis symphasis, in pregnancy you can get pubis symphysis dysfunction.

I have no experience with it, so maybe the link can help!

Yup what she said lol... That is what I had early on and they say it is earlier if young ad it with your first which I did. It also could be vulvar varicose vies whic I also had my first time around. I got This Amazon.com: It's You Babe V2 Supporter - Small 126-165 pounds: Health & Personal Care my first time and honestly it did very little to help. This time around I went to a chiro like someone suggested to me and it made the world of difference. Now if it acts up (usually worse after being off my feet like after sleeping) I go back the chiro and he fixes it really quick. It made the world of difference in my case

Yep that pain Ive been having for awhile was finally diagnosed as SPD (symphisis pubic dysfuntion). My midwife says its bc my body is producing more of the hormone that relaxes joints and then muscles start to slip. So Ive been wearing a belly support belt for a couple of weeks. So far my symptoms have ranged from intense abdominal burning, pressure in the vag like a bowling ball, intense inner thigh pain, and lately if feels like my hips are separating from the rest of my body. It hurts. The belt seems to help me some, but if I forget to wear it, the pain gets intense again.

Anyway, hope you get some relief soon. But my midwife said that some people even have to go to physical therapy when it gets so bad.

Oh boo! I was really hoping someone would say - it's obvious your DH was too rough! LOL

I'm off tomorrow, gonna take it easy the rest of today and tomorrow and really really hope it goes away on it's own. I know if I DO have SPD, it won't go away... and I have a doc appt Wednesday so if it's still there, I'll ask about it.

    Thanks ladies!

Better, thanks. I still notice it when I get up, but it's definitely not like yesterday. After I googled the heck out of SPD, I'm not convinced that's what I'm experiencing. The pain feels like it's right between my "lips"...but more outside. I don't feel "pelvic" pain. It feels like someone rubbed that area too much and maybe it got swollen and sore and tender. I didn't think he spent that much attention there, but maybe with everything swollen with blood because of baby anyway, it doesn't take much. I don't feel like walking funny today, but it's still "there" . Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

That sounds more like vulvar varicose veins.
