Am I crazy???
What was I thinking taking classes on top of working fulltime during the first trimester. Omg. Especially this Chemistry class. It is all math and I have a hard enough time with numbers when my brain is not being drained of all of its resources. I get up at 5am and go straight to class from work and don't get home until 9:30pm a few nights a week. I signed up for classes during the summer so I didn't know I was going to be pregnant yet. But I guess in hindsight maybe I should have waited a bit? Guess I had a superwoman complex and forgot all about what it was like being pregnant during the first trimester. Oh well. Chalk it up to building character and drive on. :P
I was preg with my 1st when I was still in college. We lived around New Orleans so we call him our Katrina baby. The school got damaged so it was closed a while and when it reopened I had just found out I was pg. I was in my final classes so lots of big papers and a huge project. I left home at 5 am to go to work. Then 4 nights a week I drove an hour from work to class for 4-5 hours. Then almost a 2 hour drive home. I would get home between 12 and 1am then do it again. I still am not sure how I ever got through that time alive!! But it was all well worth it when I crossed that stage and got my diploma! Hang in there! It will all be worth it in the end.
Wow - you are superwoman! lol - I would've keeled over. I also lived in LA during Katrina/Rita, but didn't get pregnant until about 3 months afterwards. I actually moved down to LA one week before Katrina hit. That was an interesting welcome.
Hope it works out of you. I was in my junior year for my BA as a full time student up to 5 months. I couldn't do it, it was stressful and it drained me. I ended up taking a leave of absence for a year. There was a senior in one of my classes that was 8.5 months along as the class ended, so everyone is different.
Good luck to you :)
