Hey everyone, I figured I'd post to see how we are all doing this week since I haven't been able to log on much over the past few days. I am just starting school back up and still working fulltime so it's getting busy here. But that's a good thing. Not much to do right now for baby but wait for the next appointment, so I am knocking my prerequisites out of the way so I can start the program for histology after the baby is born. Still feeling the morning sickness hardcore, and my belly is definitely popped out now.

How is everyone doing? Any new developments, new symptoms (emotional or physical hehe), any bumps, appointments? Share what this week has been doing!

I'm on my way to my 1st appt this morning. I hope we get to see LO. Morning sickness or as I like to call it, middle of the night sickness is still in full swing. I can hardly eat anything except steak and hard cheese, everything else makes me feel yuk. I have a massive headcold and I told my mom yesterday I'm going to have to find a metal bra, my boobs are KILLING me!!

We told our kids and my mom yesterday. I have it on video and we are going to edit it a little to send out to family after we see how today goes. I just pray all is well with LO because my kids stopped traffic to tell the crossing guard their big news and I'm sure 30 minutes since they got to school, the entire school knows. Thank goodness we do not live where the rest of our family is so it can't get back to them before we get to tell! A 5 and 7 year old don't quite get the concept of a secret! Oh well they are sooooo excited and praying for a sister so we will see.

I'm doing well. I have not had ms, just some fatigue, going to the bathroom all the time, and breast tenderness. DH bought a Doppler, so now we listen to the heartbeat every night
We'll tell DH's parents and sister this weekend - they are going to be in town, and then we'll call my dad and siblings and tell them as well. I figure we'll tell extended family and other friends after my first trimester screen on the 23rd.

Wow Nikki, that's early to be consistently finding the heartbeat - my OB doesn't usually even try until maybe 10 weeks (she prefers 12 weeks) and based on your ticker you're just over 8 weeks?

Nikki, I am also surprised at how early you are able to hear the baby's heartbeat! Wow! That's awesome What brand/model Doppler do you use? I am currently looking for one and it would be nice to get one that I know would actually work this early on.

Yeah I thought so too, I was doubtful when DH wanted to use it immediately when I was 8.5 weeks. But it works, the baby's heartbeat is much faster than mine. I can sometimes get both beats at the same time.
Chirishhope - we have the sonoline b - DH did his research and felt it was the best.

That's actually the one I have been looking at the most! It looked like the best quality for the price range I can do. Glad to know it's worth it! Thanks!!

So I ended up buying the Sonoline B doppler a few weeks ago and surprised DH when he came back from class one night. It worked wonderfully at 8 weeks! We actually recorded the baby's heartbeat and used the recording to announce to everyone on Facebook. We have been listening to the heartbeat a lot and it has been a blessing of reassurance because I do have a history of m/c's and I worry about this constantly. Hearing baby's heartbeat has given me daily comfort. It was well worth the price of the doppler. Now I don't have to wait with baited breath until my monthly appt. to get that reassurance. I probably sound like an ad, but I love it so much lol! Thanks Nikki for the help on which type to get!
