    Default Prenatals...

Just curious what everyone is taking. I just bought an OTC one with DHA and haven't had any problems with it so far (which surprises me bc with dd I could only take prepare premiere-which cost $30 a month!-bc all the other ones made me burp up this nasty rotten egg taste. (Sorry for the TMI)

When I went to the dr yesterday they gave me a bunch of prenatal samples tho. Curious on y'all's thoughts-are the prescription ones any better, or should I just stick with the cheaper OTC ones?

I've been using Nature Made OTC from Costco, I can get them pretty cheap. No side effects unless I don't eat with them.

The only prenatals that don't make me throw up (and I have tried a bunch) are the gummi ones. I found a couple brands (one more Name-brand-ish and one store brand) at Walmart. They are awesome! I was never a fan of swallowing the horse pill prenatals when I have so much trouble with morning sickness. I felt that throwing up the vitamin after taking it - along with throwing up all my food - was doing more harm than good. So for my first and second I stopped taking them after a while. But these gummies I never ever have issues with and I consistantly keep them down. They taste just like gummi bears or those little fruit chews! I highly recommend them!

I'm taking an OTC. I was put on some meds back in April and when I started taking all of it along with a huge change of way of eating I was told to start an OTC multi-vit and the Dr said since I was still in child bearing age the best to take was a prenatal. We were not really planning on TTC at the time but soon after decided too so I'm still taking the same one. So far no issues. I could not take the gummy ones though I'm sure, anything mushy or gummy makes me sick!

I am taking "Prenatal One/DHA Supplements - 250 Smart Essentials Combo Pack" by Rainbow Light.
I love that they are 100% natural, wheat-free, gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free, and yeast-free. They are contain no artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, preservatives or additives. Plus its gentle on stomach, in case you feel nauseous. They are one of the best I have taken so far.
