We're having a.........

GIRL!!!! Biggrin

I haven't been on here at all in the last few weeks so I forgot to even post that we had a "gender check" about 2 weeks ago and saw our little princess in there. My midwife group does a free gender check ultrasound between 15-18 weeks so they just take a quick look, but don't do any measuring or looking at organs, etc. I was actually kinda hoping for another little boy but was so thrilled when I saw her. It was the first realization that there is really a baby in there. Even though I have been feeling movements, etc. I was still in major denial about this pregnancy.

Anyways, how is everyone else doing? I have been so busy lately that I haven't been able to keep up with all of the extra things that I want to do, like checking in on here! I am finally feeling better as far as the morning sickness goes. My hormones are still giving me quite a ride though. I am up and down and all over the place with this pregnancy. I was happy as can be yesterday morning and then was in meltdown mode come afternoon. DH brought me home a strawberry shake from work so that helped. Smile Ice cream always helps meltdowns.

What has everyone else been up to? I'd love to hear from everyone!

Congrats Jess!!! That's wonderful news! :kaos3: I am so excited for you! And that's awesome that you are feeling movements too! You're right. That and knowing the gender makes it feel so real.
As far as where I am with this pregnancy, I am exactly on the same date marks as you and I have been feeling less nauseated as well. Occasional pukey feeling but definitely worlds better than before. I have felt flutters, but no real twisty or kickey movement yet. I can't wait for that! That will be my "It's real!" moment because we are keeping the gender a surprise this time. Talk about hormones though... I am with ya on that roller coaster. Some days it's all snuggles and hold me, and others it's more like if ya touch me I'll eat your face off. I don't know what's wrong with me lol. I am glad your DH is being supportive of your state though. It sounds like he is pretty understanding of the whole emotional aspect of it. Thanks for the update! I am really glad to see people popping back on here now. Smile I missed catching up with y'all!

I'm with ya on emotions for sure. Holy cow!

Have y'all discussed names yet?

Thanks ladies! We're super excited!

Katie: I love "if you touch me I'll eat your face off!" What a perfect way to describe it. haha. This pregnancy has brought out a new level of beast in me that I didn't even know was there. Some days I can go from just fine to irritated and angry in about 10 seconds. Glad I'm not the only one going through those crazy hormones! Smile Has your DH been pretty understanding with it all as well?

Meg: So good to hear from you! I haven't kept in touch with ANYONE from March 2012. How are your little girls doing? What it like being mom to two toddlers? Mason is doing really great, I just can't believe how huge he is. Not a baby anymore.

W4Lucy: Thanks! Sorry to hear that you are on the same emotional roller coaster but at least we know it won't last forever! Smile We have discussed names and our favorites are Clara, Audrey, and Kayla. Not sure which one we'll use though.

Haha yeah the preggo-beast comes out every now and then. DH is pretty understanding but I keep teasing him that he must be Irish underneath his Asian exterior because both of us can be pretty firey when it comes to emotions. He has been wonderful overall though. And he also does lots of little things just to make me feel better, and I love that too! Smile Thank God for good men.
I love the name Clara as well but all three are adorable!!

Congrats on the baby girl!

I am doing well, haven't been on the boards much at all lately! Been busy with the family and my sister's wedding (I was a bridesmaid and my two oldest were ring bearers) Pregnancy is just flying by, haven't felt much movement, maybe a tiny bit. I have an anterior placenta so maybe that is why? I'm actually a bit nervous that everything is OK because I expected to feel more movement by now. I go for my anatomy scan on Monday, so looking forward to that. I am not going to find out the gender (though I will probably try and guess from what the ultrasound tech shows me) I have an appointment with my midwife tomorrow, which I am kind of looking forward too because I got an appointment time after school and my oldest will get to come and hear the baby's heartbeat.

You've been busy Kristin! Im sure baby is just positioned in a way where you can't feel him/her as much. My dr told me even if I went 3 days without feeling something to not worry-baby has LOTS of room to roam around still at this point...even tho it feels like our bellies are going to bust open! Lol

Yeah, I think baby's still has plenty of room but my LO's kicks have been getting more defined over the last week or so. Anyone else feeling that too? I especially feel her when I have DS on my lap (resting his back against my belly.) She'll usually kick him right in the back. Here we go with sibling rivalry already. Smile

As far as the names go.....I still really love Clara, but there has been a little problem arise. DH's sister is due on 12/19/13 and we just found out that she is naming her little girl Kara. If they were 10 years apart then it wouldn't bother me that much, but since they will only be 4 months apart, we don't want ours to have a name so close. Sad We have be tossing around the name Hanna Rae and I think I might even like it a little bit more than Clara, so it might be okay after all.

I'm definitely feeling stronger kicks! Sometimes I get those big huge out if the blue ones that make you jump! DH has gotten to feel her kick a few times, but my daughter hasn't gotten to yet. I'm sure it will be soon tho!

That stinks about the name. When I was pg with dd, both me and my cousin somehow picked the same (very obscure!) name of Selah. We were leaning more towards Lucy anyway, but what are the odds of us both picking such an uncommon name?!
