How is your DH doing now? I hope that he has recovered from the marathon incident. Has he had his follow-up check-up?

He is doing much better. Still a bit tired from it all, but he had his followup this morning. He said it was just fine and he got the OK to start running again, short distances and we can travel. But he has to go back in NOvember to do a stress test (I think they'll make him run on a treadmill or somethign) to give it another check.

Now we are just crazy busy trying to get ready for our trip to utah/argentina. We leave friday!

We are all driving to utah (from washington) together. Then we'll be at the ILs house with the kids for about 4 days. Then they'll drive us to the airport and dh and I will leave ALONE for 10 days :) I hope my kids do OK and are good for nima and dipa (as they call them). We'll get back and stay another 2 days or so and then drive home.

I am trying to get everything i can think of ready to leave them. I just wrote up a medical consent form for them in case the kids get sick they'll have permission to make medical decisions. That along with immunization records and insurance cards should have that covered i think.

I also made up a sticker chart thing where I put 10 random clip arts (star, heart, balloon, race car) with numbers on them for the kids to put a sticker on every day we are gone and the 10th day is an airplane and we are comeing home. Hopefully that visual will help them know how long it has been and when to expect us.

Can you tell I'm a bit nervous to leave my kids for the first time--I have only been away from joseph for 2 nights, when kaitlyn was born and when dh took him on a father/son campout. Kaitlyn has never been away from me overnight!! But I know it will be fun, for them and us!

I've never left my kids that long either, so I would be nervous as well. I'm sure they'll do fine, and I think the sticker thing is a really great idea! Hope you and DH have a blast!

OMG Holly i just read what happened!!! SCARY!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm soooo glad everything is ok now.

the trip sounds like so much fun! hope u guys can relax :) the kids will have a lot of fun too!
