This probably happened a long time ago for most of you, but today we installed the new car seat and Ridley is riding facing forward. He wasn't 20 lbs. at his last wellcare visit, but according to our scale, which only measures to the half pound, he's at least 20 lbs. now. Both brothers sit in the back together.

That's awesome Jennie! I bet he likes it now that he can see what is going on!!! And I also bet he feels like a big boy!

Roegen is so tiny he's still in the infant carrier. I'm dreading when we upgrade, although I hope he'll be rearfacing for a while yet.

We switched Noah about a month ago. He loves it!

It's so cool to see Ridley loving the "big boy" seat. I think he feels like he's just like his big brother now. When we ask Ridley if he likes it, he nods his head yes.

I want little babies :cryinghard:
We're already having to look at putting Bea forward facing, only cause she is almost above the safe weight for rearward facing in both our seats (and every other seat available in Aus).
I know that they should be rearward facing for 12months or so, but the weight limits are obviously there for a reason.

Hello, my DS was a big baby too, and we managed to keep him rear facing until 11months by buying a Babylove convertible carseat. Not sure how big he was at that point, probably about 11.2 kg - he was 10.5kg @ 9 month, 11.4kg @ 12month check ups. At eighteen months (14-15kg?) he's still (just ;) ) in the same seat, but forward facing. I believe Babylove is available in Australia? HTH

JD's been forward facing for a couple of months and he loves it! That's great the Ridley's enjoying it so much, too!

David's still rear facing too. I think we will switch him when the new baby comes, though I'm dreading it after watching that video of Kerri's ...ugg...

I'm glad Ridley likes it and yay for breaking 20 pounds!!

Just FYI, it is more due to their neck control than weight-- if your kid is over 20 lbs but still less than 12 months, you still need to keep them rear facing. Not to mention, it's against the law in most states.

Nat is still rear facing in my car but we're going to turn her around soon.
