Since it seems like there are quite a few Sept 05 mommies preggo again, I thought we could have a thread for you all to post any news, belly pics, updates for us all to keep up with you :)

Awww, thanks Ellen! I am glad we can share our stuff here too. I know that May 07 will be a great board but I really do understand why people always have a special bond with their first birth board. I feel like I know you guys so well and can't imagine doing it all again with strangers!

So my update:

I have an u/s scheduled for next Friday (22nd) so fingers crossed we see an h/b. I then go and see my OB on the 9th Oct. Thankfully no more spotting and I have m/s on and off all day. Plus the tiredness has really sunk in. I never normally nap but for the last two days I have gone to bed when Max has his pm nap!!

I am going to take a belly pic after the u/s. I feel silly doing it before I know that everything is okay!

Thanks for letting me share!!

Oh and I just want to say that I know there are some special gals on this board who are wanting to be pg now, and who have had recent losses. If all this pg stuff gets too much, PLEASE let us know. THis is your board and is not about our new pg's. I NEVER want to make you feel awful on your own board!!

Sounds like things are going well so far for you. I can't wait to see some belly pics!

Yes, that would be fun, but I'm pretty sure Sarah is going to torture us again by waiting until the baby is born ;)

I wouldn't have it any other way! My life is all about torturing others!! Oh and Amy, if this pg is anything like the last there will be none of the other sex either! LOL! Poor DH! Maybe things will be different this time, here's hoping!!

I'm at 9 weeks now. No pics (I am having trouble getting my photobucket account going and trying to figure out the "ticker"). I went shopping for clothes yesterday and bought only one maternity thing--a dress because I have a couple weddings I have to go attend later on in the year. I'm not really showing (except for the occasional bloating :-? )

OMG if today is a preview of what the next 8 months are going to be, I am in TROUBLE!!!

I'm extremely tired...mainly due to the fact that I go to bed so freaking late every night...so I'm working on that.

This morning, my AM class was miserable as usual, but probably the worst class I've had with them so far. I had kids running out of the room, kicking, hitting, biting, blah blah...and I honestly believe most of the behaviors in there are due to the fact that the parents dont want to deal with these kids so they can do whatever they want at home and then they come to me and I don't let them do that!

So then my afternoon class who are all usually good were wild and just adding to my stress from the morning.

I got home to fix some dinner and realized I was out of what I wanted to fix after I already started mashed potatoes-so that just set me off too.

Then I go to put Brynn in her highchair and one of the stupid cats had been on it and hair was EVERYWHERE. YUCK! I tried to wipe it off and it wasn't coming as easily as I hoped so I just snapped and slammed the entire tray down on the kitchen floor! Everyone jumped. I just lost it! Then I was bawling all through dinner.

Sorry for the novel, but A) I need to get some sleep and B) I think I just need a vacation! lol

I know it took me this long and now I'm going to have to do it all over again-urghh..

I hope this one is different though. I still sometimes forget to eat because I don't feel very hungry! I hope that sticks with me for the next 8 months to prevent that 42 pound gain :) Plus I'm trying to eat a lot healthier too, and so far I haven't been nauseous or anything. In fact, with Brynn, I had to eat in the mornings and as of right now, I go a few hours before eating (I'm not a breakfast person anyway) so we'll see how that goes!

Congrats Jamie!!! You have a great looking belly :D You certainly can't tell you gained 42 pounds your first pregnancy.

Good luck with your u/s Sarah. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I love following the updates on the preggos. Hopefully there will be many more of you soon!

I know I need more of you gals on the May message board! It just isn't the same! It's nuts now because a lot of people just TTC are posting so it seems like there are a million people on there so next month it should slow down with the people who will be on there all the time I guess. There's too many people to keep track of to feel comfortable on that board right now!!

My dr. called today and my HCG levels were lower than what they thought, meaning that I wasn't as far along as we thought. So, I have to go back tomorrow to make sure everything is progressing like it should. I knew the last date of AF, but I did an O chart online and it said I should have O'd on a Tuesday, but we didn't "try" that cycle until that next Sunday, so I am hoping that is the reason why?! I won't know the results for 48 hours, so I'm hoping Friday.

Stop it Trish, you are making me cry!! And OMFG, your new blinkie had me

A quick update on us!

We had our u/s today and found a beautiful little blob with an even more beautiful heartbeat!! Yayyyyy, we have a baby!!! I measured 6 weeks and 6 days which is exactly what I thought I was. I am very impressed that I know my body so well, even when not charting! That makes my edd May 12th 2007!!

I am still feeling rotten and am so very tired but I'll take it all as long as this little one stays put until at least the start of May!!

We got two pics but they are not the greatest, the baby looked much more like a baby on the screen. We even got to hear the h/b which was pretty cool. I didn't hear Max's h/b until the 12 weeks scan.

princess_stinkypants'_mom
09-22-2006, 06:01 PM
Yay Sarah! Can't wait until I can see a little blob! lol...

Well, my NP called me back today and the HCG levels had a nice steady increase-YAY!!!! The thing I don't understand is she said it is only showing me at around 2 weeks! WTF??? I thought I was only going to be a few days off, not a few WEEKS! lol. She thought at my first appt I was only between 1-2 weeks!

Oh wait, I just looked at my calendar and I guess that was about right! If I O'd when I think I did, I SHOULD be approx. 2 weeks, 6 days! Geesh! I think right now I'm just going to pretend I'm still 6 weeks until I know for sure! haha...

If I'm only 2 weeks, my belly is going to be huge because i can tell a big difference from when I was "4" weeks to "6"!!

Thanks girls!! OB's appt is on the 9th Oct and I am going to try and convince her to take a sneak peak at bubs then too!

Jamie, if she said you were only 2 weeks that makes you actually 4 weeks right? (Since you actually count the two weeks before you o'ed even though you weren't actually pg then).

Are they going to do another blood test to make sure the levels are still rising? GL with it all sweetie and KUP!

princess_stinkypants'_mom
09-22-2006, 10:08 PM
Yep, I have another test scheduled for next Thursday. I hate WAITING!!! I didn't have to worry about this with Brynn!!

She just said the levels of the test were showing I was 2-3 weeks....so I don't know if that means actually 4 or not??? I know nothing-lol.

09-22-2006, 11:29 PM
I'm glad things are going well for the both of you! Jamie, you look as cute as ever!
Sarah, still waiting for the belly picture!!!!?????

fostersm
09-23-2006, 04:30 AM
Jamie if the tests show you at 2 weeks I would say that actually puts you at 4 weeks based on last menstrual period. When did you think you actually ovulated?

Belly pic is coming, have to take it in the morning when it is the flattest!! LOL! Oh and Jamie I hate you! Your tummy looks amazing! I pulled out my fat jeans today, the others were digging in too much!

~Stacy~
09-23-2006, 11:19 AM
Great belly Jamie!

That is odd that your OB is saying 2 weeks, that should mean you are 4 weeks based on your last period. I've never heard anyone say 2 weeks before, very strange. Anyhow, glad to hear your numbers are rising.

Sarah - congrats on seeing little bubs' hearbeat! What a wonderful sight that must have been. So glad everything is going so smoothly this time around. Now, about that belly pic....where is it??

fostersm
09-26-2006, 08:09 PM
Okay, okay! I was trying to wait until 10 weeks (or even 8 weeks!!) to take a pic but I couldn't resist! So here is my first "unofficial" belly pic! I took it myself so it isn't very good!

Nothing to show really, just leftovers from Max! It is way wobblier than it used to be! Yick!

7 weeks 4 days!http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a92/fostersm/bellypic7wks4days.jpg

princess_stinkypants'_mom
09-26-2006, 09:30 PM
oh blah blah sarah...it looks great! lol...and how the heck did you take that yourself? It looks like someone else took it! Is it a mirror that I'm just not seeing?

Well, I'm so disappointed that I can't "label" my pictures since I have no clue how far along I am now! urghh....

Is there a way (easy way) online to figure out from your O date?? That's the only thing I know for sure since we only DTD one time-lol. It was Sunday, Aug. 27...which just looking at the calendar from that date is 3 weeks 3 days. Geesh it already seems like I've known for 3 months!!

my2monkeys
09-26-2006, 10:06 PM
You look great Sarah! And I love your pants :)

Jamie--pregnancy is "officially" calculated from the 1st day of your last AF, so if you take your O date and count back 14 days, that will tell you how far along you are :)

princess_stinkypants'_mom
09-26-2006, 10:13 PM
I know the first day of my last AF was August 9, and I obviously O'd late, so that's what is confusing me!

princess_stinkypants'_mom
09-26-2006, 10:17 PM
I might add that I O'd 5 days late, but if I go by the date of my last AF, my ticker is from that. Now the HCG levels are only showing me around 3 weeks, so where did the other 3 weeks go if I just O'd 5 days later? HELP!!!! lol

fostersm
09-27-2006, 12:16 AM
Jamie if you think you o'ed 3 weeks and three days ago then that would put you at 5 weeks and 3 days (taking into consideration the 2 weeks before you O'ed). Forget when you actually had AF, just base it on when you o'ed and add two weeks. If your nurse/OB isn't counting the first two weeks then your numbers are probably just fine! It must be frustrating though! If you go to the pg.org pg calendar you can type in your O date and it will work it our for you! Actually I just went to the calendar and typed in the day you had sex and it would make you 6 weeks 2 days so I have no clue either! I suppose you may have o'ed a few days after you had sex??

I suggested you ask for an early u/s, if you schedule it for mid next week (which would make you 6 1/2 weeks there is a good chance you should see a h/b!

GL with it all sweetie!

Oh and that pic is taken in a mirror, I just cropped it so that you can't see the mirror edges!

jessicalynn
09-27-2006, 09:22 AM
on the pregnancy calendar on here you can put in date of conception. so since you only did the deed once I would put in that date and see what happens!

princess_stinkypants'_mom
09-27-2006, 06:58 PM
Ok, I changed my ticker. I THINK THIS SHOULD BE RIGHT-lol. I just don't know why my dr. didn't add the 2 weeks then because she was freaking me out and confusing me! I get my blood drawn again tomorrow so I am going to get it straight!!

Prudence
09-27-2006, 08:09 PM
Your HCG levels cannot give the doctor an exact due date or anything along those lines. In fact, HCG levels can vary so greatly that they can just barely 'date' a pregnancy at the beginning (when it is very low), but afterwards- there is too much variance to say 'This level puts me at this week', etc.

Call your doctor and speak with a nurse. Ask for your due date- no reason not to!

princess_stinkypants'_mom
09-27-2006, 08:23 PM
Ok, thanks! I go back tomorrow so will figure it all out then. I think what my ticker shows is right.

09-29-2006, 03:51 PM
Woo HOO!!! I am so pumped! I had my blood tests done again yesterday and they already called me today! Everything is looking fantastic she said and the levels really rose this time! She's also scheduled me for an early u/s next Friday to see when the heck I'm due! She had to label it as a "threatened mc" so my insurance would cover it, but I should be able to hopefully hear a hb and figure out how far along I am!

princess_stinkypants'_mom
10-09-2006, 12:55 PM
Well, had my 2nd appt and lovely full exam today. WOO HOO! lol...it actually wasn't bad at all. The new NP we have there is AWESOME!!! She replaced the one that annoyed me to death last year with Brynn.

Everything is looking good-she is going to convince my dr. to change my due date to May 21 like her and I think is right. They've been finding protein in my urine consistently so I got to walk out of the office today with a big ugly container to do a 24 hour sample. I have to go tomorrow for more lab tests when I turn it in. I had to do this with Brynn too so hopefully it'll come back fine. If not, they'll send me to a kidney specialist to make sure everything is OK on that end so that I don't end up with preeclampsia or anything.

On another note, I lost a pound! woo hoo!! I can't remember the last time I was this weight! Even my "skinniest" days in high school I still weighed about 5 pounds more! Of course I had way more muscle then too. But regardless, I think by this point last year with Brynn I had gained about 3 pounds so I was excited that I hadn't yet-haha. Maybe I'll keep this one under control!!

I think that was about it! My next appt is in 4 weeks!

fostersm
10-12-2006, 05:58 PM
Okay, I DO NOT want to hear that you lost a pound! Keep that news to yourself! LOL j/k, well kind of! Can you tell I am jealous!

I had my first OB appt on Monday. It was great! I LOVE my OB! The first thing she said when we walked in (after hello's of course) was; "want to take a peak?!!" of course we jumped at the opportunity! The baby is so much bigger! We could see arms and legs and it was moving about! It looked like it was hanging by a bungee cord! Soooooooooo beautiful!

A pretty uneventful appt after that. BP was perfect, she will do a pap smear at my next appt (oh I can't wait for that!)

We talked about birth options and she is very supportive of a VBAC so we will see what happens! there is a slight increased risk of the same complication happening again so she will just monitor me and we will see what happens!

I go back in 5 weeks!

I have my 12 week scan on the 2nd Nov, that was mfavourite scan of all last time so I can't wait for that!

10 weeks tomorrow! Woo hoo!

Oh yeah, still feel sick and am sooooooooo exhausted (it's getting HOT here, I think it's going to be a LONG summer!) but the sickness and exhaustion are all par for the course and I am not compaining too much (Mick may disagree!)

All in all things are GREAT!

princess_stinkypants'_mom
10-12-2006, 07:07 PM
Great news Sarah! It sounds like there are a lot of nice OB's out there letting you get a peak! Today I felt really good. I forced myself to eat 3 saltines this morning and I think that really helped! After the first one I never feel good, but I need to get more in my stomach and then I think it helped!

My dr. called me back today and I have to see a kidney specialist because my big orange pee jug said there is still protein in my urine :) They just want to make sure there is nothing wrong with my kidneys. I have no clue what they do to check that. My appt isn't until Dec. 1.

I think the 12/5/07 means May 12, 2007, not December 5th, 2007!! :)

Sarah- sounds like you had a great apt. I have a question though, Why does you EDD say 12/5/07. Am I missing something? That is over a year from now, right?

LOL! Yeah I decided I'd have an extra long gestation period like an elephant!!!!!!!!

Actually I think the US (and perhaps Canada) are the only countries in the world who write the date backwards - as in month/day/year. The rest of us write day/month/year - smallest to biggest! It was easy with Max b/c his b'day is 9/9 but I figured this might confuse a few people!

Ohhhhhhhhhh bring on the baby fever! Jamie and I would LOVE some more friends on this thread!

Hey girlies! Looks like I'm joining ya'll! :D I don't have the courage to post on a new birth board. I feel like I'll jinx myself. I'm going to call my CNM on Monday to start all my blood work. Since I had the ectopic I have to go in for 4 consecutive blood draws then once my levels hit 500-600 they'll do an u/s to make sure that the sac is in the uterus. Nerve wrecking and exciting at the same time!

Ugh...Jessica was it really that hard? I've been debating having another, but if it's that hard I'm not sure I want a third. Going from 1 to 2 was hard for me.

sdmom3
10-24-2006, 06:42 PM
I think from 1 to 2 was hard, but three has been easier. I guess it all depends on how far apart your kids are. Two babies ( anything less then 2 years apart) is going to be more of a challenge then if you have older children.

princess_stinkypants'_mom
10-24-2006, 08:46 PM

I guess it all depends on how far apart your kids are. Two babies ( anything less then 2 years apart) is going to be more of a challenge then if you have older children.

I actually have to agree with that. When I went from 1 to 2 Taylor was 4 1/2 and when I went from 2 to 3 Riley was only 22 months. But there's +'s and -'s to each choice. Taylor and Riley play together now, but they have very different interests age wise. Riley and Landen alone or Landen and Abby alone play so much better...hardly ever fighting.

Ami I wouldn't let that scare ya. The challenge is more of figuring out how to get a good routine. When you have one in school that has to get up get breakfast, a shower and off on the bus. Then another that has to be driven to pre-school, then if their in any after school activities you have to juggle that in. It can be exausting at first. But before you know it it's like you never had less than 3 or 4. It becomes a new "norm" for you :D It really isn't all that bad I promise!

I am terrified of how I will handle going from 1 to 2! My bf'ed just has her second, her DS was 19mths old when the baby was born. The second baby is now 7 weeks old and her DS is NOT coping at all! Has reverted back to ver "baby" like behaviour, lots of tantrums, feet stamping, crying, clingy! Not fun at all! I am terrified that Max will be like this and who can blame him? He will be going from having Mummy at his beck and call 24/7 to suddenly having this new baby in the house who demands my time! I know people do this all the time and they manage but I know how badly being sleep deprived affects me and if Max is acting badly I will find it very difficult! SCARED!

I'd love to hear how those of you who found it tough coped! Any tips, suggestions, words of advice would be MUCH appreciated!

Preggo wise things are good here. Still feel lousy and the exhaustion is much worse! I am really struggling b/c I am sooooooooooooo tired! Day lights savings starts this w/e but b/c it is currently so light in the morning Max has been getting up at 5am! NOT FUN!

12 weeks on Sat so I'll take another belly pic then!

Oh I'm right there with you Sarah. Brynn is a pretty dang good baby, but she can have her little feet stamping attitude and I just let her cry it out if it gets bad so I'm hoping she adjusts well and I don't have to do that too often when the new one comes :)

Today Brynn was standing in the middle of the room on a toy and my babysitter said she got in Brynn's face and said "Brynnley we do not climb on furniture. Do you understand me?" She said Brynn then touched the babysitter's nose and said "Nose!" lol....my babysitter talks to her like she can understand but it's little things like that Brynn does that just crack me up!

Here's a 10 week belly pic of me. I am finally able to see something more than bloating!!!

Awwwwwww you have such a cute belly! I dream of having one like it some day!

Jessica, I don't think anyone thought you were being negative... so don't worry! :D  It is MUCH easier when there is that big of an age gap. That's why I always say it's personal preference. You either want them close or you don't. Kids will stress you out no matter what age they are!

Sarah~ Best advice I have for you is to ALWAYS include him in EVERYTHING you do with the new baby. Diaper needs changed...let him go get the new diaper. Let him throw the old one away. Let him help pull the wipes out for you. When you introduce the bottle, let him help. My boys even loved helping to get out all my stuff for pumping. I always include my kids in everything. Also...I find something every week for just me and them to do. No babies...just "Big kid" stuff. When I had Riley, I used to make sure Taylor and I went out once a week somewhere special. Or even get him a small "prize" when grocery shopping.

Maybe I've just always gotten lucky with my kids. But to date... 4 kids later...I've yet to see a bit of a jelous bone :D *Knock on wood REALLY quick!* LOL

You'll find out what's good for you and Max. I think the biggest thing is include him in even the most ordinary everyday things. This way they don't feel "forgotten" just because you're feeding baby and can't get him a glass of juice or snack right at that very moment. So that he understands that baby's take work, but are very rewarding of that work. And eventually he'll learn that. :D HTH some!

jessicalynn
10-26-2006, 11:13 AM
I agree with sabrina 100%. Brianna never has shown one jealous moment with kayleigh yet. She STILL gets upset if I get the wipe or diaper before she had a chance. she wants to do everything to hlep. and the big thing with me was I didnt care if I was feeding kayleigh or whatever, I always stopped what I was doing and got her what she needed. I didnt want to have her always hear "you have to wait, I'm doing this or that with the baby". Of course you learn to feed the baby while doing anything after awhile. LOL It will all work out and be fine!!!!

Trevor and Derek are 19 months apart and I wouldn't say Trevor was jelous at all of his brother when he was a baby. I'm not sure when things changed, because Trevor is having issues Jelousy competitive with his brother. Everything is about What Derek has over him. The first thing Trevor says in the mornings if Derek got up before him is "how long has Derek been in your room" every thing is a competition! It's driving me nuts@! I try not to compare them and make everything fair as possible, but life isn't fair and Trevor needs to learn that. Sorry to go on about my sibling issues. I think it has a little to do with spacing and a lot to do with personality. You never know how you little one is going to react. Some days are good and some days you will want to scream!

Great belly, Jamie :D

Going from one to two was a big adjustment for me. Jonathan and Nicholas are 19 months apart, and it was sometimes tough to juggle their needs. Some days were harder than others, but it did get better. Now, it's a lot of fun to watch them play together. They do fight, of course, so sometimes you have to play referee :)

You will find a rhythm and adjust, but don't forget to ask for help too!

Sarah-let's see another belly pic! I haven't popped at all! I still feel like my tummy looks almost like it did 12 weeks ago, besides the little bloated effect it gives :) I'll take one next week on Monday but I bet it won't be any different than my 10 week one.

On another note, I decided to buy a new breast pump only because I hate the bag my other one is in-and it's the same exact pump! I'm nuts. I have the Ameda Purely Yours from my SIL and since it's like 5 years old, it's in this huge and ugly bag that flips upside down when you try to use the shoulder strap to it. I tried putting it in a tote bag, but that was a mess as it all was jumbled at the bottom, so I figured I'd just get a new one. At least I was smart enough to buy the same one since I had all of the parts brand new from my SIL's!

I find it difficult to feel like I have enough quality time with each of my girls. Keep in mind that they are going to be the same age for two days. Pretty darn close together. I don't have as much time as I did with just one. It is much harder to get ready to go somewhere. If I let Ally walk to the car, she takes a detour anywhere but to the car. I feel bad when I leave one in the house to put the other one in the car. That problem would be solved if my husband would fix the dang garage door. Forget the grocery store or any other store for that matter. I don't like to take both of them places by myself. We went to Wal-Mart once by ourselves. It worked out okay, but it is just easier if someone else goes with me. It would be so much easier if they were about five years apart. Maybe I will have enough time to really enjoy my next one in about five years if I do consider having another one. That is how long it would be before I had another one. I am babied out at the moment.

Hopefully as Ally gets a bit older she will become more of a helper for you :) I know it'll be hard for me to be home all summer with two of them when I won't be able to just take off and run to the mall like normal. Hmmm...maybe Brynn will take to the new one really well and be such an angel and my new one will be a good baby like Brynn was-lol. A girl can dream, can't she?! :)

Well, I've been looking at boys names and here's what I've come up with so far. Both my mom and I like this one. The only thing DH wants is for the initials to be "J.D." after his dad, so mom and I like

Jace Dayne Bryant

What do you think? I'm not sure I'm crazy about having the first and middle names having one syllable each, but I don't like any other middle names with D really and since my goal is to have at least the first name a little different like Brynn, I like Dayne for that reason too.

I didn't for my first so I figured that was just because I wasn't very far along or something-I didn't know...but today when I scheduled my actual one, they said I don't have to for that either!!! Awesome Jaime! If we go by old wives tales...maybe a sissy for Brynn? he he he No I didn't have to drink water for mine because it was transvaginal...they actually need an empty bladder for that. Are you talking about not drinking water for your "big" u/s? Cuz that is weird if that didn't want you too. I actually asked my u/s tech with Abby why we had to have a full bladder...she gave me a really good explination...but ummm preggo brain must have hit me becaise I can't remember what it was! Maybe you could go with a full bladder just in case? Most u/s rooms have bathrooms right there so if they didn't need it you could empty and be happy! LOL

And I can't believe it's that close to you finding out already!!! WOW! Time is flying by! You and Sarah will be popping those babies out in NO time! As of right now Jeff and I are not finding out the sex. Taylor was a surprise and we've found out with all the others. But I figure since we have TONS of boys stuff and now we have a girl... Some info for you ladies

This can vary a bit from site to site but, in general, early ultrasounds -- prior to 20 to 24 weeks or so -- do require a full bladder when the transabdominal approach (transducer is placed on your abdomen) is used.

The reason for this is that the fluid in the bladder creates a "window" for the beam to pass through. (This provides a good medium for sound conduction.) It also serves as a "landmark" for the technician to get their bearings, so to speak. In addition, a full bladder can change the position of the uterus, taking the flexion out of it and pushing it up so it is easier to scan. A full bladder also moves loops of bowel up and out of the way to make the pelvic organs easier to view.

In later pregnancy, or with a transvaginal approach, (the probe is introduced into the vagina), a full bladder is not necessary. The enlarging uterus is quite nicely positioned above the pubic bone and the fluid within the sac provides the medium for passage of the beam.

When someone first hears Brynn's name they usually have to repeat it like they didn't hear it right and since I want something a little different, I don't mind repeating it. I figure once someone knows her then they won't have a problem with it.

I have a Keera in my room and I say K-EE-ra instead of K-E-AIR-A.

WHEN IS THIS NAUSEA GOING TO GO AWAY????

At least it didn't hit me on Thanksgiving day! I tell ya...this just doesn't make sense to me! This morning I was feeling a little wierd, so I had some noodle soup as that's all that sounded good and as soon as I finished that, it came right back up!

I felt a little better after that, but for lunch I had McDonalds and for dinner we had KFC (yeah, real healthy I know!) but I feel fine after eating that crap! I swear the more greasy the food is the better it settles in my stomach! So much for the 25 pound weight gain this time-looks like I'll be another pig again:)

I know this really doesnt compare but..... when I used to get really nausous and hung over the only thing that would cure it would to eat a greasy burger king breakfast and I would be fine right after everytime. you would think all that grease would make it worse but it works for some reason. LOL hope you feel better soon. dont worry too much about the weight, you look FANTASTIC and did a great job of losing it last time. in the end it's all worth it!

Oh I hear you on the nausea! Just when I think it's gone it rears it's ugly head! I was eating dinner the other night, tortellini and just as I was nearly finished I brought it all back up! Out of nowhere! I felt just fine afterwards! WEIRD! Nearly lost my lunch in the supermarket last week - again it hit me out of nowhere!

Otherwise all is well! This pg seems to be flying by!

Ugh...sorry about the nausea Jamie and Sarah...I hope it clears out REALLY quick for both of ya!

Today is my second appt. and my second u/s. I'm really excited to see the changes in the baby but a little nervous as well. Just because ya never know...kwim? Anyways, I'm sure all is well, I just can't help that I'm one of those people who just prepares for the worst...it drives DH nuts! LOL

On a funny note...DH is gaining wait like mad, and has been nauseous and moody...I told him last night it's so funny to see him pregnant! Eh...he deserves a smart *** comment every now and again...in a few months he'll resume his nickname for me while pregnant .... "Tons of Fun" LOL

Anyways, I'll update later and post some pics of the u/s :D

lol Sabrina. My DH's stomach is still bigger than mine at this point and his is full of beer-hehe

I'll post a belly pic later tonight if I remember. Haven't taken one in awhile because I've been more bloated than anything, but now I'm finally starting to see it at a constant size, so it's more of a pop than a bloat :)

Well..back from my appt and u/s....I'm just gonna paste what I posted on the July board...

WE DANCED FOR MOMMY TODAY!!!!!!!!!! :D

Baby is doing fantastic! Measuring right on for my EDD of 7/3 and even bouncing and dancing for us today! This is my fifth baby, and I'm still amazed! Such an incredible miracle to watch happen.

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y246/sjtrk/ultrasound_9w2d.jpg

My b/p was great, weight was still the same as 3 weeks ago, and we discussed my birthing plan! LOL Mainly because we honestly would like to have this one be a surprise. DS #1 was a surprise and then we've found out with all the rest. Now that we have both boy and girl things, I think I would like this one to surprise us. But I was worried about my MIL blabbing out in the delivery room what the sex was before we all get a chance to see. I don't mind having the whole family in my delivery room, we've always had a crowd. But if this one is going to be a surprise then we want it to be a private family moment between DH, me and my older 2 boys who will be in there. So if we couldn't figure out a way to "hide" the sex at delivery, then DH and I were going to find out and not tell anyone. So she's planning on her normal dim light delivery, then when the baby is born she'll cup her hands around the privates, the nurse will cover him/her with a towel...and we're going to let the boys "peek" to see what it is. :D I think it's going to be wonderful!

Anyways, I think that's about it....I go back in 4 weeks on 12/28 and we'll get another u/s! I can't wait! :D

Jaime ~ Cute baby belly :D How's the nausea?

It's much better actually, thanks! I still have to make sure I eat and every now and then I'll eat something that sounded good to me until I took a bite, but it's been good the last week or so!

Unfortunately I've been eating like a horse lately and I was hoping I would crave veggies and fruit this time around, but nope!

Today I had my 16 week appt...
Everything went great! I've gained about 10 pounds so far. HB was good around 156. My protein counts were good...however, they want me to do another 24 hour urine sample just to confirm that the first one I had was just something wierd since my counts have been down lately.

The dr. came in and said my blood pressure, weight, and protein was all good. At the end of the appt, he made my day though! DH asked him if I should still be picking up Brynn and he asked me how much she weighed. I told him around 21 pounds. He said we normally have a range of 25-50 pounds that we could lift, but 25 should be significant for me because I'm skinny-LOL! Is he on crack? That made my day though that he said something like that!

I'm measuring at 17. My u/s is in 3 weeks and I can't wait! I'm hoping though to take a peek at my kidney u/s Dec. 21!! Can't wait!

I'm such a party animal. Yesterday I went to get my bloodwork done before work. Now let me tell you, just like I told the lady about to stick me with a needle...I HATE NEEDLES. More than hate. I pass out and have seizures. I loathe them. She did not believe me. So...she did an awesome job, barely felt the needle...but my head knew it was there and yes, I passed out, and had a seizure. I woke up to a bunch of people looking at me with the "deer in the headlights" look and once I could speak again I said, "I told you so." What a fiasco. They called my doc, well the on-call doc, and he said as long as I "woke up" within 45 minutes I didn't need to go to the ER if I didn't want to. I didn't want to. It would have been WAY too expensive and I was feeling better by the minute. Still, a fiasco...

For a good time, call Melanie.

Doing very well - have turned a big corner and have my energy back. I have started exercising again - swimming twice a week and doing Prams in the park (like stroller strides) twice a week!

Haven't posted my 12 week u/s pics yet and since my 19 week scan is on Monday figured I'd better do that! Plus here is an eighteen week belly pic (plus last times for comparison!) I'm bigger!!

Mel... I'm so sorry you had to go through all that. I hope that at least caught you before you hit anything. Maybe next time they'll learn to listen a bit better!

I'm here Jess... ugh today I've come down with the flu which I wonder is why for the last 2 days the fatigue has been so horrid I couldn't function...literally...thank god for DH! I haven't touched a dish, a mop, a broom...notta in the last 3 days now! It's been rediculous. Poor DH is taking on all the extra duties on top of the 4 kids AND him working his 12 hours in the steel mill....Blah.. .I wish I could help more but I just can't. Almost in the 2nd trimest...almost...come on energy I need ya back!

It's been hectic around here too. With Christmas parties and programs for the kids, the business and everything else...it's just hectic. I'm hoping life will slow down a bit next month. Sorry I'm not around so much, I know I'm just full od excuses... LOL By the time I got my internet all fixed up then I'm preggo and too tired and lazy to get on here... LOL

My next appt. is on Dec. 28th... We should be able to hear the h/b! I don't think my CNM was gonna plan on giving me another u/s, but she's always full of surprises! And Sarah, I guess we'll drive people nuts together, LOL We're not finding out either... it's gonna be a long wait eh? Actually time is flying for me! So much to do and not enough time to do it in. I don't know about progesterone, but your HCG looks great!!!! Make sure to KUP. I agree with Sarah, if they want to put you on something I think that is a good sign in itself. They may just be airing on the side of caution. Do you go back in for more bloodwork?

Mimi820
12-19-2006, 06:48 PM
HI Jenny...just lurking

Congrats on your great HCG level! As for the progesterone, I had the same problem. My Doctor put me on a suppository cream (YUCK!) called Crinone 8% gel. I had to use it twice a day. I believe my level was at a 12. However, with my DD it was also 12 and my midwife was not concerned. SOme don't even think the progesterone helps, but I did it and why take the chance right?! I am sure your numbers will continue to climb. HTH!!

Started by me getting quazi-yelled at for losing yet another 9lbs, making my total weight loss 13lbs this pregnancy. He wants me to go back to eating all the trash I was before I got pregnant. I'm so f*ing sad. I've been doing SO WELL eating healthy plus all that grease food plus pasta and potatoes make me SICK! I don't want to eat like that. I don't know what to do. I still don't keep every meal down every time, maybe once every 3-4 days I "return" one to the porcelain god but its getting much better.

*sigh*

I did set up my big u/s appointment but I'm not excited anymore. I'm so worried about how I'll feel if its a boy. I'm set on a girl and my gut says girl but my gut also keeps nudging at me how I'll feel if its not. I'll be crushed. It'll take some time to be happy. I don't want to feel that way. Healthy is the key, right? Ugh, I feel like a bad mom or something. I know in my heart that boy or girl would be fine but I just want my little girl so badly...

And I still don't feel pregnant, it just hasn't registered, and its starting to bug me.

So there's my update, sorta boring, bums me out.

hey it sounds like you have just changed how you and are eating healthy. The dr will just have to DEAL with it? ar eyou measuring good? you know that little baby is growing great in there so ignore the dr's on this one.
I know what you mean about wanting a girl. I had a feeling the whole time with bri and kay it was a girl and wanted girls mor ethan anything, I dont know how I woul dhave reacted wtih a boy (I knew dylan was a boy the whole time too and that was excatly what I wnated the first one to be). You are NOT a bad mommy! I bet you think you will be really upset if it's a boyu and you probably would be a little disappointed but I bet then you would turn right around and thikn about little zachary and his brother being close in age and getting to do all those 'boy things' together and how great it would be. Either way you will be happy and everything else sounds great! :bighug: so when is the big u/s?

I asked if I could take a sneak peek and he said "Sure, why not, but I'm not great at finding babies, only kidneys." So I knew right there that I'd have to wait until Jan. 2 :( I did get to see the baby though and it was laying on its back. Blah Blah...lol I wanted to find out TODAY!!

Sorry you didn't get a good peek. But, with the holidays, time should fly by, and Jan. 2 will be here before you know it!

Jan 2nd is really close! I agree that it will be here before you know it! LOL Can I ask why you had a kidney u/s? did I miss something???

Can I ask why you had a kidney u/s? did I miss something???

I just had higher levels of protein in my urine and after I did the 24 hour test, they were still higher than what they had been (even though it's not uncommon for them to be higher anyway during pregnancy-i guess mine were even higher) so they referred me to a kidney specialist. I had my appt with him and all of the symptoms, levels, etc. were showing up fine so I think he just wanted me to have an u/s just to double check everything.

well I went and my stupid doctors office never sent the doctors note to the lab so they wouldn't do my US. I tried calling but there lines were so busy it took 20 min to get through. My doctors office fixed everything but of course I was crying becuase I was so dissapointed and I really had to go to the bathroom. Now I my new appt is tonight at 5. Ugh so frustrating!

Hey guys it looks like I get to join the expectant Mommy's club. I just got back from the doctor's office and my EDD is August 30.

I'm a little freaked out because the age spacing is going to be two years apart between Matthew and the new baby. I'm worried about how I'm going to handle it but hopefully it'll be okay.

Kathy I already said this a few days ago on the Aug. board but wanted to say it here now that it's "official" LOL CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo: I'm so happy for you and your family! Don't stress too much about the spacing. I have a 22 month gap between #2 and 3 and 20 month gap between #3 and 4. Abby and this baby will be about 22 months as well. It's actually not as bad as it seems. I promise :D

Jenny....CONGRATS on seeing the h/b! I know you must be on cloud nine!

Yeah I didn't want to say anything until it was offical. Even though I got three BFP's and my AF who's like clockwork is now over a week late. I actually a couple of years ago got some false BFP's and I was horribly disappointed so I wanted to make sure a nurse agreed with me before I told a lot of people.

I'm a little overwhelmed but the idea is growing on me. I get to have my first U/S on the eighth. My doctor is great and will burn it on DVD for me so I'll show you guys when I get home.

Thanks for the congrats,

Jenny ~ :yahoo: How wonderful that you got to see that little heartbeat!!!

Kathy ~ :woohoo: Huge congrats to you!!! Try not to worry too much about the spacing...Jonathan and Nicholas are 18 months apart. It was challenging at first, but now they are best friends :D

Congrats on the HB Jenny! I am excited for you. HH9M!

Congrats to you Kathy! You will be able to handle the two even with the spacing. Mine are only 12 months apart. It is rough at times, but it can be done. At least a two year old might understand not to hit the new baby. Poor Macy gets knocked in the head way too much. I try to protect her, but sometimes I can't. I know when Ally wants to hit, because her little hands start moving all over the place. HH9M!
