38wk1day appt
my scale said i gained 3 pounds in 1 weeks time but doc scale said 2 pounds.
told doc i wasn't ready to evict baby on 9/13 (induction) - he laughed
so we schedule it for 9/17 in hopes i'd make it that far. he said i was 2cm/95% effaced/-1 station
i cramped all day but i did the previous week too after the exam. part of me felt the need to finalize things. i got my assembly docs done and purchasing so all work that i was worried about was completed. i organized dominic's drawers more. finally opened the mobile only to find out it didn't fit.
9/12/07
all i wanted to do was sleep. i was very moody from being so tired and crampy. alexander much have known something was up cuz he was extra needy that day and i was very impatient with him. i think i scared mary lee cuz of how pissed i got at the poor kid. we had aladdin but i wasn't nearly as hungry as usual. i laid down all morning long and even during their naps. that evening we went to my moms for dinner. still not as hungry as usual. felt menstrual cramps all day long and the constant urge to poop but couldnt'. i decided that there was no way i was gonna make it til monday for the induction so i told kristi that i was going to call the doc office in the morning to see if i can be induced on sat (doc was supposed to be at hospital that day). kristi emailed him to ask.
that night i pee'd all night long. i laid down around 10 or 10:30 but couldnt' sleep. finalyl got up at 1 and by 2 i realized that teh baby was coming whether i wanted him to or not. i decided that we were going to the hospital in the morning but didnt' wake dh to tell him this until 5:52am. after i told dh i called my mom and told her today was teh day. she got to my house at 7. i told them it wasn't a rush cuz my contractions weren't coming that frequent. i was nervous that the hospital would send me home so i planned to be there at 7:30 knowing they would monitor me for 1/2hr before deciding what to do. i knew winkler would admit me tho so i wanted to make sure i was there when he got there. i ended up calling him at 7:30 to let him know i was going in.

got there around 7:45 or so. nice hospital scale said 164 so official total weight gain was 35pounds! :)

So after having those menstrual cramps from tues on, around 1 or 2am on thurs i realized that Dominic was coming today regardless of me rescheduling the induction. I didn't go into full labor or anything. i woke dh up at 6am and told him that i wanted to be at the hospital at 7:30 cuz i knew they were going to send me to triage to be monitored. i knew i wasn't have regular contractions but i also knew that my doc would be there at 8 and he would admit me...soooo i called my mom and she came over at 7am. we were able to get the boys up and tell them we were going to get baby dominic today
in triage: 8:15am they check and i'm at 4cm already! guess those menstrual cramps were doing something. so i get admitted to my room. doc comes in and jokes with me about how he knew i wouldn't make it till monday for the rescheduled induction. he had a csection planned for 10am so we were taking things slow for me first things first, get the epi! he would have been born sooner had we not taken things so slow. we made sure that my doc had time to deliver other babies while we took our time with mine a very relaxed birth!
10:20 - epi is in
10:45 - already to 5cm (my contractions weren't even picking up on the monitors!) doc breaks water
12pm - 6cm
12:20 - they start the pitocin
1pm - 7cm
1:45 - still 7cm
2:30 - 8-9cm
2:50 - 10cm! i feel PAIN on my right side i roll over to let gravity help things and pray it works. i was scared to death i was gonna have to push baby out in pain. it worked too!!!
3:07 - dominic was born after only 5min of pushing
he was 11 days early, just like my other two boys.

he's got a lot of dark hair too. not as much as vinny but more than alexander.

if the link doesn't work the first 3 letters of my last name are fra and state is west virginia. baby's name is dominic. there are 8 pics :)
my pelvic bones didnt' go back into place like they did with my first two. a wk pp and i was still in bad pain. had an xray and the gap between the bones should have been half of what it was. plus the SI joints had gaps. luckily, today at 12 days pp i'm feeling better.
things are ok here. life with 3 boys is good. emotionally i'm still a wreck. d@#$ pp hormones! i do not feel done at all :( it was hard talking dh into 3 and i know it's going to be next to impossible talking him into another....but i did talk him into holding off on the vasectomy for awhile. we shall see :)
