i am julieanna and i hope you can welcome me to your board.
ive been ttc my second child for about a year and a half now. i have one child that will be turing 4 in the next few weeks.
what my fertility issue is.....is im not sure! it started with my husband having an abnonrmal sa, he has low morphology about 11% but his dr and my dr believe that with this number and his high count he shouldnt have any problems getting me pregnant. i took clomid for 2 months because in august i had a blood test showing i was not ovulating. i took this present cycle off from the clomid (really makes me feel yucky) and lo and behold i ovulated with a nice follie on my own!!!! i tried an iui my second cycle with the RE (the first one we tried natural and that was the one i didnt O) and it hurt so bad ( and from what i read this is not usually the case) that i decided i would like to try natural still. so right now, i have a few more days before i have to go for a beta level, but i have such cramps i doubt it :(
i look foward to meeting you!

Hi Julianna! Welcome to the board. Sometimes, we are a little slow around here, but keep popping in and posting. I am sorry that we had to meet this way, but you will find great support here. I hope that your stay here is very short.

I have been ttc #2 for 24 cycles now. My DH has a really high count too. (118 million), but 22% morphology. My RE doesn't think that contributes to our issues. He did confirm that I do not ovulate a mature follicle every month. As a matter of fact, I probably never ovulate a mature follicle anymore. We are not sure why, although, I blame birth control pills for my issues. They cause pituitary oversuppression, and for some women their pituitary glands can never recover causing ovulation issues. Of course, the pharmaceutical companies don't want us to know that, but my RE said that can happen. So, we had been trying ovulation induction with injectable medication, but ttc the natural way (no IUIs). However, it was getting to be too expensive. So, we are taking a break from our RE and ttc using The Chinese Method for curing infertility. That is actually a book written by Randine Lewis. Since switching my diet about 4 weeks ago and adding some supplements, I have lost 11 pounds and feel wonderful. I can only hope that it also leads to increased fertility. If not, I plan to see my family doctor about testing for Celiac Disease sometime after the new year.

Welcome to the board. We've been ttcing 12 months now. My cycles are so off. This is our last month trying before we see the specialist again. I have a 21m old dd Amylia, she was four years trying and 6 months of fertility treatments.

Hi and welcome! If Clomid is not for you, ask your doc about Femara. It made me O without the nasty side effects of Clomid! Still no BFP though, so I'll be starting IUIs in February.
