early ovulation after getting off nuvaring

Ok, so I went off nuvaring mainly because my perscription was up and we are waiting for state insurance to approve us. My cycles have always been very regular, 28 days. I took out my last nuvaring and had my normal period. Then a couple days later I had EWCM for 2 days- which would put me at cd 8 and 9. I was off birth control this summer and I usually had EWCM that is associated with ovulation on day 14 of my cycle. Is it common to ovulate early when getting off birth control?

Really, anything goes after coming off bcp. I think it's more likely, however, that this ewcm was related to hormone adjustments rather than an o. Keep watching it.

I had the same thing happen when I went off Nuva ring! I was preggers just two weeks after taking it out!

I wish I had read this thread last month! I took the ring out last month and just got af on cycle day 25 which is much earlier than I've ever gotten it.

I agree that it can vary after getting off hormonal BC. That is why they say to give yourself a few months to regulate after BC. Sometimes your body kicks into overdrive and surprises you with an early O, sometimes it takes its sweet time to figure out what is going on. And then there are the lucky ones that remain the same. If you are hoping not to get preggo, be sure to use another form of protection during any EWCM episodes. Always count it as fertile even if it may not be. HTH!
