Who orders a meal just for the little one?
I am about to start doing that, last night Zack ate about half my meal and some of DH. The kid wouldn't stop eating. He also guzzled down 1.5 cups of water.
I left the resturant just as hungry as when I went in!

It depends on where we go.. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I know the feeling of not eating your meal... I will say even when I order the girls there own they still want what I have

We don't take K out to eat very often, she's just not ready to sit still for that long. But usually I order her a grilled cheese, quesadilla or something like that. Almost all places have something simple like that on the reg menu if they don't have a special kids one. And I always order her her own meal, I don't want to share mine and then if I'm good I can eat some of her fries too! :)

We usually feed Caylee before we go out. She just does better that way. Then at the restaraunt she can nibble on bits and pieces of our meals if she wants to.

Tara is such a big eater I have to order her, her own. Rarely do I share my meal with her becaues she would eat half of it.

We always get L something from the kids menu. He is just too set on being his own man to just share w/ us

Most of the time Benjamin just shares with us. I order him his own drink though because this boy can guzzle down some liquids.

I order 2 kids meals & split it up between the 3 of them :D
I used to, when Caroline's eating was more predictable. Now I typically feed her ahead of time and she will munch on bread and cheese at the table while we eat. We are going out tonight but not until later, so I'll feed her dinner here before we go and she will nibble a bit here and there during our dinner. She LOVES eating out and people watching!!

Carter's not eating much these days - He never really has eaten as much as his sister's did at his age. He usually has some of my food and some of my dd2's food and he's full. DD2 is is a phase where she's not eating much but dd1 is making up for her!!!

It differs with us. If I know my plate will have a lot, then I'll share.....if I'm going to eat something he won't like, then he gets his own. Sometimes I bring his food with me. Lately he has gotten so LOUD that I only take him to noisy places to eat.

Most of the time D shares with me. But when I'm really hungry or want something she won't like, I have ordered her a meal. I always get her her own drink at least. I don't want that backwash in my drink!

The girls usully split a meal. Jayde is a food hound and Julie picks at it. I do love kids eat free or pay their weight!

I love the free kids buffet and we always get Larry his own ice water...like Angela said, there's nothing worse than toddler backwash in your drink. :)
If there's no buffet we'll order him a kids meal, and I like the way more restaurants offer a different veggie than just fries. If the restaurant is known for huge portions we'll skip the kids meal and get an extra plate...I'll give him the meat from my meal if it's something that can be separated and DH gives him a veggie and we're all set.

It depends where we go: if its buffet, we just feed her off our plates. Most of the time, we order her something, even an appetizer: She can polish 1/2 a pancake by herself, which is pretty good. Her appetite is getting better and she loves people watching.

Toddler backwash - yuck. That's when I'm glad C is really good with a straw.
