This family is incredible. I don't know how she does it.
I think it may be a bit too much for me :)

Haha!! Yeah, I am thinking maybe I could have 4...but I might lose it with any more!! Of course, I don't know how it is yet to have older kids...but I know the worries don't end when they are 9, they are just different!

I've watched their tv show before... I think they are such an amazing family. It's amazing how everything runs so smoothly even with toddlers and so many kids! While I love large families, I couldn't handle all that she has!
Genny... Those worries I think just get worse and worse. The older they get the more responsibilities they have or trouble they can get into lol. Then I guess comes the worry for the grandkids as well!!

I've watched their shows, too. I know they are extremely frugal, and don't take on any debt - but still, I wonder how they do it financially!

While I am all for large families. I think this is extremely selfish. I agree that kids should have chores and what not, but their older kids do a LOT around that place and a lot of caring for the younger kids. At least, from what I saw on the show.
Oh well, to each his own.

Christie - I sort of agree - I don't get how they can possibly give any attention to any of their kids with so many to take care of! Is there every any individual attention?

I'd have to agree as well..DH is the eldest of 5 and for that, he DID NOT want to settle down too soon, nor have kids too soon b/c of the fact he had to practically raise his two younger siblings. It wasn't fair to him and the girlfriend, now wifey

I find it hard enough to divide my attention equally between 3. I don't think it's possible to do it with 17. I can't imagine the 19 yo doesn't have resentment.

I couldn't imagine having that many.... All those clothes to wash, dishes, diapers!!!! And to top it off, what happens when they get sick..... I know usually when one of gets sick, a lot of times the love is spread around to everyone. Yikes with 17, I don't even want to go there.

Is there every any individual attention?
That would be my main concern as well!! How can you possibly NOT have the older ones take on more than they really should at their ages?!

I personally think its rediculous... I mean I think each of their lives is an amazing gift, but I think that a line should be drawn somewhere... maybe at the bedroom door? LOL!
